1 Sustainable Airport Area International Seminar SPEAKERS BIOGRAPHIES Bernard Anquez, Vice President Air France KLM Group Representative at Delta Air Lines Bernard Anquez is a 25-year veteran of Air France and since 2005, he is responsible for the coordination between the Air France-KLM Group and Delta at Delta s headquarters in Atlanta. His career at Air France has taken him around the world and included in-country management positions in Colombia, Japan, United Kingdom and the United States. Bernard spent a total of eight years in Japan (four each in Osaka and Tokyo) and had complete responsibility for Air France in that country. During his stay in Tokyo between 1999 and 2003, Bernard also served for two years as the President of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan. He also lived two years in London where he was responsible for all Air France activities in the U.K. and Ireland. He was also with Amadeus Global Travel Distribution for seven years as its Vice President of Strategic Planning, Business Development and Joint Ventures. Bernard is originally from Paris and received a Civil Engineering Degree at the École des Ponts et Chaussées in Paris and a Masters Degree from Stanford University in California. Stephen Appold, Assistant researcher at the Frank Hawkins Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise (University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill) Stephen J. Appold is Visiting Scholar and Senior Research Associate at the Frank Hawkins Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His work places the aerotropolis in the context of 21st-century urban function and form, investigating airport catalytic economic growth, determinants of the locations of innovative firms, and drivers of airport area land value. His research has resulted in articles in journal such as Urban Studies, Economic Geography, Research Policy, and Administrative Science Quarterly; book chapters, and reports to governments, airports, and aviation firms. He is now collaborating with John D. Kasarda on a book, tentatively titled, Aerotropolis Planning and Development: Guidelines and Implementation which will serve as a practical guide to government officials, investors, and other aerotropolis stakeholders. Prior to coming to the Kenan Institute, Dr. Appold taught at Carnegie-Mellon University and the National University of Singapore. Dr. Appold has received grants from the National Science Foundation, the Carnegie- Bosch Institute, the Center for Southeast Asian Business at the University of Michigan, the National University of Singapore University Research Fund, the Singapore Housing Development Board, and the Australian Research Council. He received his PhD from UNC Chapel Hill and BA from SUNY Stony Brook.
2 Denis Barbet, Consul General of France in Atlanta Denis Barbet holds a bachelor s degree in law and a master degree in political science from the Université de Paris I as well as a diploma in Literary Arabic and Oriental Arabic from the Langues O (Paris III). Specialist of the Middle East, he fulfilled his alternative military service in cultural cooperation in Syria from 1984 to 1986 before being admitted into the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Oriental Section) at the end of He successively held the following positions: : Desk Officer «Algeria» Department of North Africa and the Middle East (ANMO) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; : First Secretary at the Embassy of France in Ankara, Turkey, responsible for foreign policy and humanitarian questions; : Second Advisor at the Embassy of France in Beirut, Lebanon, responsible for domestic policy and relations with the Palestinians in Lebanon; : First Advisor and Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of France in Bangkok, Thailand; : Deputy Assistant Director responsible for the diplomatic assignments in the Human Resources Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; : Second Advisor at the Embassy of France to the Holy See, in charge of the Vatican s foreign policy and interreligious dialogue; : First Advisor and Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of France in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; : Inspector at the General Inspection of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; : Consul General of France in Naples and Director of the Institut Français Napoli. Eldrin Bell, Chairman, Clayton County Board of Commissioners Chairman Eldrin Bell received his education in the Atlanta Public Schools, graduating from David T. Howard High School. He did his undergraduate studies at Morris Brown University and Georgia State University and continued with his graduate studies at Harvard University Law School, Northwestern University Institute and Atlanta University. He also received training at the FBI Academy, National Executive Institute (NEI), Secret Service Academy graduate and completed the Association County Commissioners of Georgia certification program; and is currently enrolled in the Certified Commissioners Advanced Program, better known as C.C.A.P. Bell is a 33 year veteran of the Atlanta Police Department (where he earned every rank between Patrolman and Police Chief). During his tenure as Police Chief, Bell managed 2,300 employees and a $100 million budget. He also successfully secured over $50 million in grants for the police department. After serving the residents of Atlanta, Bell through his hat into the Southern Crescent political arena and was elected to serve the citizens of Clayton County in November Throughout his service to the county, Chairman Bell has been responsible for various community service programs including the Clayton County Library Foundation; and an online live tutorial programs for Clayton County children - 4th grade through 1st year of college. He spearheaded the 2008 special-purpose local-option sales tax (SPLOST) that has been responsible for the various improvements and upgrades made to county services. Chairman Bell successfully led the committee to pass legislation giving Clayton County and its cities (in revenue) over $300 million in support of parks, green space, libraries and roads in Clayton County; and serves as the visionary of the Aerotropolis concept, which supports the economic development for Cities and Counties adjacent to the Atlanta Airport. The Chairman is also responsible for implementing the county s disparity study in an effort to increase business opportunities for minority entrepreneurs. Chairman Bell is a member of many civic and professional organizations including: Current Chairman of the Regional Transit Implementation Board; Chairman of the Clayton County Regional Health Board; Vice-Chairman of the Transit and Transportation Board National Association of Counties (NACo); Board member of the Atlanta Regional Commission; Corner Stone Board Member of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce; Associate Member of the Gate City Bar Association; and Life Member of Clayton County NAACP.
3 Jean-François Benon, Managing Director of the Economic Expansion Committee of Val d Oise Jean-François Benon, a graduate in public law from the Université de Paris II-Assas, began his career on the Reunion County Council as advisor to the chairman s office. He then joined the prefecture administration as head of economic affairs and employment at the Val d Oise prefecture. He became managing director of the Val d Oise Economic Development Committee (CEEVO), the economic expansion agency for the Val d Oise department, where he runs offices in Val d Oise at Cergy-Pontoise, at Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport, in Osaka (Japan) since 1999 and in Shanghai (China) since Jean-François Benon has been a member of the economic and social council for the Ile de France region since 1989, where he served as vice-chairman of the transport committee and vice-chairman of the regional planning committee before joining the forecasting and planning section. Jean-François Benon, who has been an official advisor on foreign French trade (CCEF) since 1999, has been a board member of the European Association of Development Agencies (EURADA) in Brussels since 1992, and a board member of the World Cities Alliance (WCA) in Washington since Jean-François Benon is a senator at the Junior Economic Chamber International (JCI) and a chevalier of the French Ordre National du Mérite. He is also a board member of the Family Allowance Fund (CAF) for Val d Oise. He teaches and regularly chairs seminars in the fields of economic development and international commerce at ESSEC, the Université de Cergy-Pontoise and at the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées (vocational training). Bernie Burgener, Executive Director of Greenhouse Accelerator, Green Chamber of the South Bernie Burgener is a member of the Green Chamber of the South and leads the Chamber s Greenhouse Accelerator, whose objective it is to create green jobs through the support of early-stage green startups and sustainability initiatives within existing companies. Early in his career Bernie helped fund and grow businesses in various countries and industries in South America in a financial as well as a consulting function, working for a private investment company out of Lima, Peru. He then worked for over twenty years with a water treatment company in Atlanta, leading its international business development, including strategic planning, identifying, negotiating and executing acquisitions, and managing key raw material contracts. Bernie is a PhD economist by education and a sustainability consultant by avocation. Bernard Cathelain, Deputy Managing Director, Development and Facilities, Aéroports de Paris Bernard Cathelain was born in 1961, in Paris. He holds a diploma from the Ecole Polytechnique and Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées. He started his career in 1986 as Project Manager at the Ports and Navigable Waterways division of engineering firm BCEOM. After he occupied different positions in the civil engineering field, Bernard Cathelain joined Aéroports de Paris in July 2001 as Head of the Project Management department. As of January st, Bernard Cathelain became Executive Director & Chief Development Officer of Aéroports de Paris; he is in charge of IT, Environment & Sustainable Growth, Project Management, Engineering & Architecture Projects, and Innovation. Bernard Cathelain is also Chairman of Hub Télécom (Subsidiary of Aéroports de Paris'group). 4 Michael Cheyne - Director Asset Management and Sustainability, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport Michael Cheyne, Director of Asset Management and Sustainability - brings thirty years of experience in aviation and public administration to the world s busiest airport. Recently completing an assignment with the City of Atlanta as Commissioner of Public Works and as Director of Planning for Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, he currently oversees the airport s assets, implementation of the sustainable management plan, GIS and public art programs. Before joining the Hartsfield-Jackson team, Cheyne s prior positions included Executive Director for the Port s of Friday Harbor and Edmonds and 18 years with Sea-Tac International Airport. While at Sea-Tac Cheyne was responsible for over a billion dollars in capital projects, including program lead for Sea-Tac s 3 rd runway, served as Director of the Port of Seattle s International Consulting Services, and Director of Aviation Planning. Cheyne is actively involved in the aviation industry as a board member of the International Association of Airport Executives, past chair of the American Association of Airport Executives Operations, Safety and Planning Committee and chair of the 83rd AAAE Annual Conference, currently a member of the AAAE Environmental Committee, and is an Accredited Airport Executive with AAAE and a certified Project Management Professional with the Project Management Institute. Scott W. Condra, Senior Vice President of Development, The Jacoby Group Scott W. Condra is Senior Vice President of Development at Jacoby Development, Inc. He joined JDI in 2005 following his position as Vice President/Area Manager for a large international civil and environmental engineering consulting firm. At JDI, Mr. Condra is responsible for all phases of design, construction and implementation for mixed-use developments throughout the United States. Mr. Condra has more than 25 years of experience with project and business management including an extensive background in environmental remediation, civil engineering design, construction management and federal and state permitting requirements. Mr. Condra has managed the remediation of several former military facilities for transfer to civilian uses as well as multiple commercial brownfield developments including Atlantic Station, one of the largest mixed-use brownfield redevelopment projects in the United States. Mr. Condra s recent executive management experience includes the redevelopment of the former Ford Motor Company manufacturing facilities in Atlanta, Georgia and Norfolk, Virginia; a 10 Megawatt solar project in Washington County, Georgia; a master planned community development on the Big Island of Hawaii; and, a proposed stadium mixed-use project in Augusta, GA. In Atlanta, Mr. Condra is managing the transformation of the 130 acre property adjacant to Hartsfield Jackson International Airport into a mixed-use commercial development known as Aerotropolis-Atlanta. Mr. Condra has overseen the project since inception managing the acquisition, remediation, and marketing of the property. Mr. Condra has successfully negotiated the relocation of Porsche Cars North America s headquarters to Aerotropolis- Atlanta, an over $100 Million investment. He also negotiated an agreement with the City of Atlanta on the purchase of a 60 acre tract at Aerotropolis-Atlanta. Bill Cronin, Vice President, Economic Development, Invest Atlanta Bill Cronin oversees the day-to-day activities associated with economic development in Atlanta, including developing and implementing the City s economic development strategy, business creation, attraction, retention and expansion. Bill reports directly to Invest Atlanta s President and leads the Business Development staff to generate new development as well as explore expansion opportunities with existing businesses. He has extensive experience in both international business including shipping and logistics and economic development. Cronin began his international business career in the shipping and logistics industry in Jacksonville, Florida. During that time, Cronin worked for Columbus Line/Hamburg Sud shipping and worked extensively in the South. In 1997, Cronin joined Enterprise Florida, the state s public-private partnership which promotes economic development. There, Cronin was Director of Field Operations in which he was responsible for economic
5 development initiatives and daily operations of the state s six domestic field offices until joining South Carolina s Department of Commerce in Most recently in South Carolina, Cronin was the Director of Global Business Development Division of the South Carolina Department of Commerce from 2007 until Under Bill s leadership, the Division recruited over $14.6 billion in capital investment and over 73,000 jobs. Christophe Dalstein, Member of the Executive Committee of Immochan France and Executive Director of EuropaCity Christophe Dalstein is a member of the Executive Committee of Immochan France, the Auchan Group s real estate subsidiary, and the Executive Director of EuropaCity, the flagship urban development programme of Le Grand Paris. Before joining the Auchan Group, he managed and consulted on urban planning programmes and complex development projects for public institutions. Christophe Dalstein is a graduate of the Ecole des Ingénieurs de la Ville de Paris, specialized in urban engineering, as well as the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées. He also holds an executive MBA from ESCP Europe and attended the Institut des Hautes Etudes de Développement et d Aménagement des Territoires en Europe. Gérard Eude, Vice President Seine-et-Marne General County Gérard Eude is a telecommunications engineer (Paris Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications). For most of his professional career he has worked at France's National Centre for Telecommunications Studies and the Orange Labs research centre. Gerard Eude is also involved in local politics and has been Deputy Mayor of the town of Torcy since 1995 (Marne-la-Vallée, 22,000 inhabitants), responsible for finance and "intercommunality" (cooperation between local councils). Elected in 1998 to the county council of Torcy (nearly 50,000 inhabitants), he became Vice-president of the County Council of Seine-et-Marne in 2004, responsible for economic development and major development projects. In this capacity, he presides over the Department's economic development agency "Seine-et-Marne Development Agency". His activity within the agency has led him to work in the fields of town and country planning, regional attractiveness and Innovation, particularly in the sectors of sustainable urban environments, mobility and the development of eco-technologies dedicated to services. Brion Fitzpatrick, Director of Business Development, Inman Solar, Inc Brion Fitzpatrick is the Director of Business Development for the U.S. based, Inman Solar, an installer and developer of commercial & utility grade solar projects throughout North America. Brion stays attentive to all solar initiatives throughout the US and has extensive experience in the procurement of hard to capture solar incentives and in the development of new solar markets. Brion serves on the board of the Georgia Solar Energy Association (GSEA). He serves on the Policy Committee and is the Chairman of the Membership on Programs for the State of Georgia. He is an advocate for Solar and Sustainability and has been involved in promoting many environmental political initiatives in many forms including speaking at sustainability events, organizations, and universities. In 2010 he received the GSEA Solar Advocate award. Inman Solar, a NABCEP Certified photovoltaic EPC, providing a full service turn-key process to develop, install, operate, and maintain solar electric installations. Inman Solar installed the 1 MW Solar Farm at the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport in December Inman Solar was recently chosen again to install the second phase of Chattanooga s Airport s solar farm adding an additional 1.2 MW s.
6 J. David Frost, Vice-Provost School of Civil Engineering, Georgia Tech J. David Frost is a Professor of Civil Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology and holds administrative appointments as a Vice Provost of Georgia Tech and the Founding Director of the Savannah Campus. He holds a B.A. in Mathematics and a B.A.I. in Civil Engineering (Honors) from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland as well as M.S. and PhD degrees in Civil Engineering from Purdue University. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in Indiana and Canada. He has worked in industry in Europe and North America on a variety of natural resource related projects including building artificial sand islands for oil exploration in the Arctic. His research focuses on the development of integrated digital data collection technologies for solving subsurface and infrastructure problems. He has been awarded two patents for a multi-sensor subsurface penetrometer system. Frost is co-owner and Chief Research Officer of an Atlanta based software company that develops data collection and management software tools for civil engineering applications. Since moving to Savannah, Frost has been involved in various local organizations including the Coastal Business, Education & Technology Association, the Creative Coast Advisory Council, the Savannah Economic Development Authority Advisory Council, the Rotary Club of Savannah and the 200 Club of the Low Country. He also served on the Mayor s Task Force that led to the establishment of the Greater Savannah International Alliance. He is also a member and Chairman of the Board of SAGIS, the Savannah Area Geographic Information System. Vincent Gollain, Chief Economic Development Officer, Paris Region Economic Development Agency (PREDA), Coordinator Hubstart Paris Vincent Gollain, Economics Ph.D, is the Chief Economic Development Officer of the Paris Region Economic Development Agency (PREDA). Since 2008, he is also the coordinator of the Hubstart Paris, the marketing alliance for the large area around the Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. He is also a member of the executive board of the competitiveness cluster Cap Digital (Digital contents). Vincent Gollain publishes frequently articles about the competitiveness of urban regions and how they market themselves. He lectures on places marketing and has published a guide in French in 2010 about the marketing of places. He started is career at IAU Ile-de-France, which is the urban planning institute of the Regional Council of Paris Ile-de-France. In 2002, he joined PREDA in order to set-up the new Strategy and Analysis Department and then, in 2007; the new Strategic Unit for Sustainable Regional Development. This unit covers different fields of activities: Business Intelligence, Strategic Marketing, Sustainable development, Benchmarking, Economic Analysis and Information Center. Nicolas Gomez, MBA Candidate, Georgia Institute of Technology Scheller College of Business After receiving his B.A. in International Trade and Marketing from the Ecole Superieure de Gestion (Paris) in 2003, Nicolas Gomez was hired in 2004 by Caterpillar Inc. as junior Marketing Consultant covering the sustainable development segments (Demolition, Waste, Recycling, Ports & Inland Waterways) for the North American Commercial Division based in Peoria, Illinois. In 2006, Nicolas was appointed Marketing Consultant in charge of the sustainable development segments for the EMEA and CIS regions based in Geneva, Switzerland. During his tenure, Nicolas was notably hired on special assignment by Caterpillar s head office to be one of the five worldwide appointed experts to create the strategy document aiming at revamping Caterpillar s manufacturing, distribution and sales of Industrial Markets products around the globe. In 2008, Nicolas was appointed Sales Manager of Earthmoving and Mining equipment in charge of the North and West Africa Region (13 countries). By the end of his mandate in 2011, Nicolas had turned around this complex region of Africa into a business generating $150 million annually over the sale of 600 units. Nicolas permanently relocated to Atlanta at the end of 2011 to pursue an MBA from Georgia Tech s Scheller College of business and expects to graduate in 2014.
7 Nancey Green Leigh, Professor of City and Regional Planning Director, City and Regional Planning Ph.D. Program, Georgia Institute of Technology Professor Nancey Green Leigh joined City and Regional Planning at the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1994, after teaching at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She holds a PhD in City and Regional Planning from the University of California Berkeley. She specializes in economic development planning with a particular focus on sustainability and redevelopment, and is a national Brownfields Redevelopment expert. She is a former Woodrow Wilson Fellow and Regents Fellow of the University of California and past Vice President of the Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning. She was elected a Fellow of the American Institute of Certified Planners in She is the author of over 50 articles and three books, Stemming Middle Class Decline: The Challenge to Economic Development Planning (1994); Economic Revitalization: Cases and Strategies for City and Suburb (2002 with Joan Fitzgerald); and Planning Local Economic Development, 4th edition, with Edward J. Blakely. Both Economic Revitalization and Planning Local Economic Development have been adopted by a wide array of classes in the Social Sciences across the United States. Since 2006, Dr. Leigh has led a large scale research effort involving three universities focused on sustainable industrial systems for urban regions and funded by the National Science Foundation. Her long-term brownfield redevelopment work led to her testimony before the U.S. House Subcommittee on reauthorizing the national brownfields program in In mid-2010, Leigh assumed the Directorship of the School of City and Regional Planning s Doctoral Program. Outside of the university, she co-chairs the Sustainable Economic Development Committee for the new city of Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia. Mathis Güller, Architect Urban planner, Güller&Güller Architecture Urbanism GüllerGüller architecture urbanism was founded by Mathis Güller (1968) and Michael Güller (1970) in The office operates both out of Rotterdam (Holland) and Zürich (Switzerland), which is a key to its design philosophy: they work towards locally defined projects, but turn them simultaneously into a reflection of European and global changes in society and the respective planning cultures. GüllerGüller operates internationally at the forefront of exploring and trying to influence the impact and capitalize the potentials of large scale infrastructures for our cities. A trademark of the office is hereby its interdisciplinary and sustainable approach and its broad range of projects. GüllerGüller are currently working on the spatial-economic development strategy and the masterplan of the Triangle de Gonesse in the airport corridor of Paris Charles-de-Gaulle (Paris), the regional structure plan for the Geneva crossboundary metropolitan region, the masterplan for Science Port Holland (Rotterdam-Delft), and the masterplan for the Midfield railwaystation area in Luxembourg. They have been partner to the Urban Renaissance Institute in setting-up a methodology for Strategic urban design for CABE (London). GüllerGüllerhave been awarded the European Airport Regions Conference Honorary Award GüllerGüller published on the strategic role of airports in European metropolitan areas in 'from airport to airport city' (Ed. Gustavo Gili Barcelona 2003) and Airport and City (by Schaafsma, Amkreutz, Güller, Ed. SRE 2008). Max Hirsh, Post-doctoral researcher, Future Cities Laboratory of Singapore Max Hirsh is a post-doctoral researcher at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology's Future Cities Laboratory in Singapore. He recently completed his PhD in Architecture and Urban Planning at Harvard University. His dissertation, "Airport Urbanism: The Urban Infrastructure of Global Mobility," investigated the expansion of international air traffic in China's Pearl River Delta and its implications for airport architecture, regional infrastructure, and urban design. Max has been a visiting faculty member and guest lecturer at Harvard, Yale, Princeton, University of Hong Kong, South China University of Technology, and École Nationale Supérieure d Architecture Paris-Malaquais. At the Future Cities Laboratory, he is developing a research project that investigates paradigmatic shifts in the design, operation, and management of airports in Asia. Max holds a BA, MA, and PhD from Harvard; and a Magister from the Technical University of Berlin.
8 Douglas Hooker, Executive Director, Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) Douglas Hooker is the executive director of the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC). As head of the official planning organization for the 10-county, 70-city Atlanta region, he oversees and directs regional planning programs in the areas of transportation, land use, water and natural resources, aging services and workforce development, and more. Mr.Hooker is deeply involved in the community. He is a graduate of Leadership Atlanta, Leadership Georgia, the Regional Leadership Institute, and the Institute for Georgia Environmental Leadership. Doug was a co-founder, board member and former chairman of the Civic League for Regional Atlanta. He serves on numerous other boards, including, the Council for Quality Growth, CHRIS Kids, and The Atlanta Opera. He is a former board member of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, the Emory University Board of Visitors, the Regional Business Coalition, Georgians for Passenger Rail, Georgia Conservancy, Park Pride and the Institute for Georgia Environmental Leadership, among others. He also served on the inaugural board of the Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District. In his career he has worked for public sector and private sector organizations, among them: the City of Atlanta s Department of Public Works (where he led the agency through the 1996 Olympic Games), the State Road & Tollway Authority (SRTA), Georgia Power, Bio-Lab, Inc., and Atkins Engineering (formerly PBS&J). He has worked as a design engineer, engineering project manager, finance and administrative director, and a business development and marketing executive working on important regional projects in the areas of energy, education, transportation, transit, and water. Doug holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree and a Master of Science, Technology & Science Policy degree from Georgia Tech, as well as a Masters of Business Administration from Emory University s Goizueta Business School. Garrett Hyer, GA Tech School of City and Regional Planning Garrett Hyer is a current graduate student at Georiga Tech s School of City and Regional Planning. Hyer has previously worked at the Orange County, Florida Division of Transportation Planning and Public Works, a private civil engineer in the Orlando area, and most recently at the Atlanta Regional Commission. He also has 3 years of change management and conflict reslolution skills from his work as a former Director of Leadership Development for a non-profit within the higher education industry. Hyer is currenty conducting research under Georgia Tech professor Nancey Green Leigh around airport area economic development and investment. Nicolas Laruelle, Project Director, IAU Ile-de-France (Paris Ile-de-France Institute for Planning and Development) Nicolas Laruelle is a senior consultant in town and regional planning at the Paris Île-de- France Institute for Planning and Development. 9 Shelley Lamar, Planning Manager, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport Shelley Lamar has more than 14 years of aviation planning experience at Hartsfield- Jackson, where she has worked both as a consultant and, since 2004, as a Department of Aviation employee. Since joining the Department of Aviation, she has held the position of Aviation Planning Manager and is responsible for a variety of projects and initiatives ranging from land use and community development to cargo planning. Lamar has managed several key projects at Hartsfield-Jackson including the last four economic impact studies and 10 years of Peak Week studies, an extensive annual passenger data collection effort. She worked on the Airport s master plan (completed in 2000) and the recently-completed Comprehensive Development Plan which among other things identified opportunities for cargo expansion. Cendrine Le Bouffant, Deputy Executive Director, Urban Area Community Terres de France After eight years working for the town of Bobigny-Prefecture of Seine-Saint-Denis (44,000 inhabitants) as director for economic development, employment and training, Cendrine Le Bouffant was head of industry sector projects for five years at the economic development agency, Seine-Saint-Denis Avenir. In this role, she was responsible for the air industry, eco-activities, and territorial marketing initiatives.
