Manages all facets of student life, academics, enrollment management, flight-education activities, business functions, and the physical plant. Direct supervision of four college deans and student support services. Manages a budget of $80 million+. Executive Dean Virginia Campus The George Washington University Chief Executive of the Virginia Campus in the Northern Virginia technology corridor. Supervise the offering of more than a dozen graduate degree programs enrolling more than 1000 students. Responsible for the performance of research in ten state-of-the-art laboratories, with several million dollars annually in external funding. Key fields are information technology, transportation technologies, high performance computing, and Internet technologies. Develop and maintain close contact with industry leaders in the region as well as with the political structure both locally and in the state. Formulation of a development plan and spearhead the efforts to bring new organizations into the partnership with the GW campus. Lead new endeavors in distance learning, interactive communication systems, and delivery of non-credit programs. Associate Vice President Office of External Programs The George Washington University
2 Responsible for the development and management of the University's new 50 acre campus in Northern Virginia. Involves the planning for the physical facility, the administrative structure and staff, the academic programs offered, the marketing of the activities at the campus, and developing linkages between the University and organizations in Northern Virginia. Supervised the development of numerous graduate degree programs. Responsibility for facility planning and implementation of ten state-of-the-art laboratories. Developed industrial and governmental relations that led to external funding of research in these laboratories. Created a Board of industrial and governmental leaders from the region to help strategically plan for the expansion of campus activities. Formed a development team of alumni and community leaders to raise funds for the campus. Oversight of the continuing education activities of the University. Includes all off-campus degree programs and a variety of non-credit activities of the schools and colleges of the University. Responsible for the coordination of all University activities abroad. programs and the expansion of University activities throughout the world. Includes oversight of existing Supervision of the GWU Summer Sessions, a university wide activity that generates about $15 million per summer. Dean Boston University, Metropolitan College Overall responsibility for academic, budgetary and administrative operations of Metropolitan College. Academic responsibilities included supervision of faculty hiring (thirty-five full-time faculty and three hundred fifty part-time faculty), academic policy, and program design and articulation for the following programs: Seventeen undergraduate degree programs and five graduate degree programs at Charles River Campus. Enrollment: 4,000. Three graduate degree programs: Master of Science in Business Administration and Master of Information Systems in conjunction with the Department of Defense (U.S.Army) at forty European locations. A Master of Science in Management in Brussels, London, and in Israel, a Master of Science in Computer Information Systems in Brussels. Enrollment: 1,000. Non-credit seminars and workshops. This includes a Boston University Seminar Series in Business, Computer Science, and Hotel and Food Administration. Also, Programs in Financial Planning and Legal Assistants. Enrollment: over 5,000. Programs at suburban locations in conjunction with major industry. Undergraduate and graduate degree programs Enrollment: 1,000. Administrative responsibilities included supervision of thirty-five full-time administrative and clerical staff, development of organizational structure and governance system. Budgetary responsibility for the College's operating budget of approximately three million dollars. Overall responsibility for the Summer Term of Boston University, with over 8,000 enrollments per summer. Responsibility for $3 million budget, marketing and academic programs. Responsibility for the management of Boston University's 850-acre facility, Sargent Camp, in Peterborough, New Hampshire. At this facility, thousands of college and public school students participate in environmental learning activities throughout the year. The aggregate of activities at Metropolitan College accounts for revenue in excess of $25,000,000, with direct expense responsibility of about $10,000,000.

Boston University offers a Master of Applied Science in Computer Science in conjunction with GTE Sylvania in Needham, MA. Assistant Dean for Applied Science Boston University, Metropolitan College Academic responsibility for Applied Science programs including: Business Studies, Urban Affairs and Computer Science. Responsible for staffing of seventy to eighty courses per semester. Development of new programs. Initiated bachelor degree programs in Engineering Management and Interdisciplinary Studies and associate degree programs in Business Studies and Computer Studies. Developed twenty new courses for Metropolitan College Catalogue.
