2 REAON amela Doherty 92 Alumni Association resident As a proud member of the alem tate University lass of 1992, I love having the opportunity to speak about my undergraduate experience. When I do, I emphasize that I owe every success and opportunity I currently have to alem tate. The quality of the education I received has served me very well in my career, and it s because of my education that I continue to achieve my goals. I am also honored to be the alumni association president because I have an opportunity to give back to the university. There is nothing better than serving as a mentor for current students, helping to ensure they will be able to complete their degree and achieve their goals, too. Letter from the Alumni Association Welcome to Alumni Weekend 2015! This year s theme, Rediscover Your Reason, is a nod to the ongoing 10,000 Reasons campaign. It is a great way to get us all thinking about the many ways alem tate has touched our lives. I know I m proud to call the university my alma mater, and I bet you are, too. This May, I urge you to come back to campus to see and experience all the wonderful changes in progress, and to attend as many Alumni Weekend events as possible. onnecting with fellow alumni and current students is one of the great perks of any college education. It also offers a unique opportunity for alumni to reconnect with each other while giving back to their local, national and international communities. With over 58,000 alumni residing all over the world, the potential to affect communities worldwide, in a positive and meaningful way, is enormous. The Northeast Arc is a non-profit disability service organization whose grassroots foundation was built by a small group of parents, siblings and individuals in the 1950s.
