As many of you know, the FAA and industry have been engaged for the last two years in revising regulations relating to aircraft operations on contaminated runways and runway condition reporting. Many of the standards Transport Canada has prescribed for Canadian airports are derived from ICAO standards and in the U.S., the FAA has been working more and more closely with ICAO to ensure that U.S. and ICAO standards are harmonized.
