3 KEY SERVICES Environmental Remediation Whether it s contaminated soil, groundwater, sediment, or surface water, our engineers and geologists have designed and implemented remediation strategies at hundreds of sites throughout the United States and Canada. Our ability to approach complex remediation challenges is based on strong technical knowledge of both traditional and innovative technologies with knowledge of state and federal regulations. SGT JV has broad experience in developing and applying remedial strategies for sites affected by metals, volatile organic compounds, petroleum compounds, polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons, pesticides, polychlorinated biphenyls, and radiological contamination. General Contractor/Construction Management SGT JV engineers and project managers have extensive experience with large and small marine, civil, and industrial construction projects. Our team has completed projects ranging from tenant improvements of an existing structure to comprehensive design/build of new structures to on-site support of submarine cable installation. Our staff has successfully completed hundreds of projects valued from $5,000 to $27,000,000. Geotechnical Engineering SGT JV geotechnical engineers have designed foundations for very large structures with unusually large floor loads. We have performed slope stability analyses for natural slopes, man-made slopes, embankment dams and slopes in municipal solid waste. SGT JV staff have designed preloads with wick drains to mitigate foundation settlement and designed pile foundations for buildings and marine structures. We have specialized expertise in the geological engineering of rock masses, and in particular, with sheared and chaotic block-in-matrix rocks and melanges. Stormwater Management SGT JV provides a complete range of stormwater engineering and management services and evaluation, testing, and installation of stormwater technologies. Our engineers have engineered and designed innovative Best Management Practices (BMPs), prepared comprehensive stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPPs), and provided detailed mapping of stormwater infrastructure in GIS. Our engineers are certified in the latest SWPPP development, implementation, and inspection required under California regulations (QSD/QSP). We are at the forefront of developing stormwater technology across the United States. Industrial Wastewater and Groundwater Treatment Our team has evaluated, designed, constructed, and operated industrial wastewater and groundwater treatment systems at sites across the United States. We have assisted our clients in developing creative and innovative treatment methods and upgraded existing treatment systems. We have designed treatment systems capable of removing metals, petroleum products, and solids from water at flow rates ranging from 5 gpm to 12 MGD. 4 SGT JV REPRESENTATIVE TEAM Roger Wykle, PE, LEED AP, PMP, CFM California General Contractor with Class A Hazardous Certificate Sustainable Group founder, Roger Wykle is a retired U.S. Coast Guard Commander, and an industry leader in sustainable project delivery and facility management practices. Prior to forming Sustainable Group, Inc., Mr. Wykle served as the Vice President and Chief Operations Officer for an Alaskan Native Corporation accomplishing major international, nationwide, regional and local contracts totaling $55,000,000 annually for various government agencies and the private sector. Currently, he is executing civil and general construction projects for the Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Air Force, and private sector clients throughout California. Peter Zawislanski, PG, CHG OUR PROFESSIONALS ARE LICENSED IN: Arizona California Hawaii Oregon Nevada Washington British Columbia United Kingdom Peter Zawislanski has 22 years of experience in site characterization, remediation, project management, and agency interaction. He has provided technical and program management for numerous environmental investigations and hazardous waste remediation projects at RCRA and CERCLA sites, including power plants, mines, and various chemical manufacturing facilities. He has designed and implemented soil and groundwater remediation projects throughout the US, including in-situ treatment of chlorinated solvents, metals, and metalloids, and the design of soil stabilization and solidification approaches for arsenic, chromium, and other metals. He has provided litigation support services to a wide range of industrial clients, including utilities, mining, agricultural, and the real estate sector. Alan Gibbs, PG, CHG Alan Gibbs has over 30 years experience in the environmental consulting field, providing due diligence site assessments, regulatory liaison, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, and site closures. Mr. Gibbs has overseen multiple contracts for the U.S Army Corps of Engineers-Sacramento District over the last 15 years, as a program director and project manager, for Former Used Defense Sites (FUDS) and Hazardous, Toxic, Radioactive Waste (HTRW). In addition, Mr. Gibbs has overseen two contracts working directly for the California Department of Toxic Substance Control (DTSC), for preparation of preliminary endangerment assessments, technical site investigations, and remediation. Collin Briese Collin Briese has over 17 years of environmental field remediation and construction experience, including: soil and groundwater remediation; installation and operation of remote treatment plants; construction management; demolition; excavation; emergency response; well installation; maintenance and automation; and regulatory compliance and reporting. His extensive experience in health and safety, and emergency response, including a past role as Environmental Health and Safety Manager for a major waste management firm, provide a strong foundation for his ability to evaluate and implement health and safety protocols for work sites, including complex construction projects.

5 Bill Carson, PE Terraphase president, Bill Carson is a registered professional engineer in California with over 18 years of experience on environmental and water resources projects throughout California and in Arizona, Washington, and British Columbia. He specializes in helping clients with complex remediation and water resources issues. Through his projects, he has successfully negotiated with federal, state, and local environmental regulators. Mr. Carson has managed multiple million-dollar-plus budgets for high-profile projects and has designed and completed multi-milliondollar site improvements to help his clients achieve their objectives in the most timely and cost-effective manner possible. Jeff Raines, PE, GE Jeff Raines has over 30 years of engineering experience in civil, geotechnical, and environmental engineering. He has consulted on more than 50 Superfund sites and dozens of RCRA corrective action sites and is an expert in moving sites through the federal and California remedial action processes. He managed a 4-year, $7.2-million contract for the US Environmental Protection Agency during which he provided oversight services for almost every major military facility in California. He managed more than $2,000,000 in dam engineering work for a Fortune 500 Company in Hawaii, was the Engineer of Record for more than 30 Phase I Dam inspections on the Hawain Islands and a $100-million manufacturing facility in California. Wendy Bellah, PE Wendy Bellah is a registered professional engineer in the State of California with over 10 years of experience in site characterization, remediation, project management, permitting, and agency interaction on projects throughout California and New England. Her experience includes design, installation oversight, and operation and maintenance of a variety of soil and groundwater remedial technologies, including soil-vapor extraction and air/ozone-sparging systems, in-situ chemical oxidation, and groundwater extraction and treatment systems. Mike Collier Mr. Collier has more than 30 years experience as a construction superintendent, project manager, health and safety officer, and quality control inspector. He has managed and supervised work crews on more than 500 construction and environmental projects ranging from a multi-million dollar levee reconstruction, to installation of groundwater extraction and treatreat systems, removal and disposal of hazardous waste, and landfill closures. Ryan Janoch, PE Ryan Janoch is a registered professional engineer with over eight years of engineering and management experience on environmental and construction projects. He has managed and provided technical support for industrial, municipal, and federal clients across the US and internationally. He specializes in stormwater technology and water treatment system design and engineering. As chairman of a manufacturer s technical committee, he is leading the collaboration with New Jersey DEP to write their stormwater treatment device testing and verification procedures.

7 HIGHLIGHTED PROJECTS Stormwater Management and Environmental Support Services Suisun Bay Reserve Fleet, Benicia, California SGT JV is currently providing professional stormwater management services to the US DOT - Maritime Administration for the reserve fleet. We assist the client with compliance with the California Stormwater Industrial General Permit, provide stormwater awareness and sampling training, and provide environmental support regarding RCRA waste and treatment system design, operation, and maintenance. Ship Hull Cleaning Treatment System Evaluation and Engineering Former Naval Air Station Alameda, California SGT JV is evaluating the ship hull cleaning wastewater treatment system and providing treatment design recommendations. We are evaluating the treatment system s performance and determining the best available economically feasible technology (BAT) for meeting California discharge requirements for ship hull cleaning wastewater. The ship hull cleaning operations are being conducted under the EPA s Vessel General Permit. Construction and Stormwater Management Stroud Solar Project, California SGT JV personnel managed the site preparation, including grading and compaction of a 200-acre property, construction of more than two miles of perimeter roadway and fencing, and installation of a five-acre lay-down area. This project was part of PG&E s five-year plan for developing 250 megawatts of solar power. Our principal engineer oversaw the successful implementation, inspection, and monitoring of stormwater BMPs during construction. Environmental Remediation Former Naval Fuel Depot Point Molate, Richmond, California Our personnel direct a $28 million remediation program including: operation of a groundwater extraction and treatment system; site-wide groundwater monitoring; monitoring of a closed construction debris landfill; inspections of 20 closed underground storage tanks; in-situ remediation of chlorinated solvents; and characterization of petroleum residual saturation and potential mobility of free-phase non-aqueous phase liquid (NAPL). Geotechnical Design Chabot College, Hayward, California Since 2005, our principal geotechnical engineer has served as Geotechnical Engineer of Record for the Chabot Community College Modernization Project. Our team conducted a geotechnical investigation, designed foundations for three new buildings, provided drainage recommendations for the conversion of the football field to artificial turf, and provided construction support to mitigate an area of pumping foundation soils.
