ATS employees operate on the following principles: Our owners, managers, and employees shall, at all times, do whatever it takes to exceed the expectations of their clients. Our owners, managers, and employees shall, at all times, bring the highest level of integrity to their work, and will never compromise their principles - never. Our owners, managers, and employees shall, at all times, in their dealings with others, consider the best interests of all affected parties. Our owners, managers, and employees shall, at all times, strive to improve their technology, their service, and themselves. Our owners, managers, and employees believe that, by rigorously following these principles, they will always be successful in business, successful in service to their community, and successful in life itself. ATS Prides itself in being a solution-based service provider. We make water quality our business, so you can focus on yours!
Active Treatment Systems, Inc. was founded in 2005 as Clear Water Compliance Services of California, Inc. in response to the implementation and enforcement of new phases of the Clean Water Act and the Endangered Species Act. These regulations enhanced the need for specialized erosion control and water treatment services at construction and industrial sites. The company built itself on the technical platform and reputation of Clear Water Compliance Services in Washington State which had become an industry leader very quickly by setting high standards for systems and operations. Clear Water Washington was one of the first independent companies authorized to perform water treatment at construction sites on behalf of the general contractor. Active Treatment Systems, Inc. has a strong core of dedicated professionals, most of whom have been with the company since its inception. ATS personnel have education and professional expertise in environmental science, construction management, chemistry, engineering, soil and water remediation, and industrial water treatment. The ATS goal is to provide its customers with the highest level of expertise in the industry. It is a fundamental ATS business strategy to keep this firm foundation of talent in place through all business cycles and to date they have been unwavering in keeping this commitment. ATS solutions have been used on many projects, ranging in size from small residential construction sites to thousand plus acre commercial and large scale infrastructure projects like road improvement, dam rehabilitation, tunneling, trenching, groundwater dewatering for deep footing high rise structures and more. The ATS business is all about temporary systems for water cleanup on construction and industrial sites and mine sites. ATS services a wide variety of clients including small to large scale builders, engineering contractors, wood products companies, municipalities and special districts and more. All treatment system designs focus on safeguards to protect the environment and keep customers in compliance with regulations. From initial planning to completion, ATS s years of experience in handling difficult water quality issues differentiate us from all others.
COMMITMENT TO OUR CUSTOMERS At ATS we provide innovative water treatment solutions that protect the environment. Our focus is on our customers, our drive is toward our vision, and our passion is in our people. ATS was founded and operates on core principles of integrity, respect and innovation. We make water quality our business, so you can focus on yours! 24/7 Response Highly Skilled & Certified Operators Regulatory Compliance Permitting Assistance Training & Certification
ACTIVE TREATMENT SPECIALIST TECHNICAL EXPERTISE ATS provides services to assist you from the initial design stage to completion of your project. We implement turnkey treatment systems for your site-specific requirements. Our personnel have education and professional experience in environmental science, construction management, chemistry, engineering, soil and water remediation, industrial water treatment, and more. WATER TREATMENT & MONITORING ATS has a staff of certified technicians available 24/7. Our certified treatment technicians operate systems and monitor real-time water quality. Data is collected by the on-site SCADA system and transmitted to our central site. All data can be verified by an off-site project manager to make certain that discharges remain in compliance. Consolidated reports of water quality data are made available to our clients on a routine basis. PLANNING, PERMITTING & LAB SERVICES ATS develops ATS plans and related documentation to get your project permitted through the appropriate authorities. We take extra steps by doing lab analysis (bench scale tests) on samples from your site to ensure the correct design and the most feasible and economical treatment is performed. CESF (CHITOSAN ENHANCED SAND FILTRATION) ATS is an industry leader in CESF. The significance of CESF is that a small amount of the Chitosan polymer is injected prior to the sand filtration stage. This procedure forms a thin blanket over the top of the media which aids in the filtration process and enhances the backwash procedure. Chitosan is derived from a natural product, chitin, quite abundant in crustacean shells, especially dungeness crab which is the base for the ChitoVan product sold and used by ATS. Chitosan is fully biodegradable and there is a certified residual test available so CESF system are typically run in flow-through mode, resulting in much higher system throughput. CESF has demonstrated turbidity reduction efficiencies of 99% at very high flow rates and has proven ability to remove phosphorous, metals and other pollutants associated with suspended solids. It is recognized by many regulatory agencies as the preferred advanced stormwater treatment technology. ATS utilizes both dry and liquid product. The dry product is dispensed through an ATS proprietary flake injection system resulting in cost savings of 5 to 1 over liquid products.
TREATMENT APPLICATIONS STORMWATER TREATMENT With current NPDES permits for construction requiring a diligent effort to manage and control water quality, ATS can assist with meeting difficult water quality standards. When conventional BMPs are not reducing the turbidity levels required in your discharge permit, ATS can provide stormwater treatment options to meet your needs. We have in-line remote monitoring capabilities and can generate reports summarizing the data collected for your records. Our stormwater treatment services include: Inspections, stormwater treatment, consulting, permit preparation, and documentation. ATS can keep projects open and minimize the risk of stop work orders or fines, even during the wet months of the year. GROUNDWATER TREATMENT AND REMEDIATION ATS provides 24/7 automated turnkey groundwater treatment solutions. Using proven and effective groundwater treatment technologies, ATS can help businesses meet difficult water quality discharge requirements. We offer solutions from start to finish no matter the extent or complexity of your project. We evaluate you influent water, and design a system that meets your specific site needs. We can assist with your submittals and permitting requirements. With our expertise we can handle multiple pollutants, turbidity or, solely your monitoring needs. We have experience in treating groundwater from the following applications: tunnelling, trenching, micro boring, and sludge/slurry management. INDUSTRIAL WASTEWATER TREATMENT ATS has experience on many different industrial projects. Industrial applications often involve dealing with metals and other pollutant contaminants. ATS is able to custom design treatment systems with the correct treatment application to fit specific site criteria. We are able to successfully address multiple pollutants of concern and keep sites reaching their designed objective without having to worry about water quality issues. Our expertise and experience in the treatment of industrial waste water include: dredging projects, mining operations, timber industry, boat yards, and sand & gravel operations. While using our technology we also use equipment and expertise from our collaborators and partners, this allows us to bring contemporary solutions to your individual site problems. SLUDGE MANAGEMENT ATS provides a variety of techniques that can help lower the disposal cost of your sludge. ATS can manage sludge generated from dredging operations, bio-reactors, municipal detention facilities, collection ponds, and process bi-products. By using chemical processes, we bind the fine particles together and then remove the water from the sludge so the material becomes stackable. In most cases, we are able to re-classify the waste and reduce disposal cost compared to conventional methods. In some cases, we have saved companies as much as 50% on their disposal fee. Some applications for use are: dredging projects, mining operations, wineries/vineyards, private wastewater treatment plants, and residue from large stormwater detention facilities.
PRODUCTS ATS CONTROL UNIT The ATS Control Unit is the most state-of-the-art control unit in the stormwater industry and it meets all standards of the California General Permit DWQ. The ATS Control Unit is designed to control the treatment of sediment-laden stormwater, groundwater, and industrial wastewater by injecting flocculent into the inflow. It serves as: On-site laboratory, monitoring station, and control center for addressing multiple constituents of concern. The unit is also equipped to remotely transmit water quality data to a central site and to send remote alarm data information to the project manager when site specific situations arise. MOBILE ACTIVE TREATMENT SYSTEM The MATS offers many advantages over a large scale system for stormwater, industrial wastewater, or other water treatment applications. The MATS is an alternative to a more costly, long term stormwater system. Ask us to bring a self-contained, costeffective MATS in when you need to pump down holding ponds or tanks on your construction site. Rates can be quoted by the hour, day, or week. In a flow through configuration the MATS is suited for sites between 3 and 10 acres. In a batch mode the MATS is ideal for sites less than 3 acres. RENTAL EQUIPMENT Active Treatment Systems, Inc. s equipment is available to rent for short or long-term projects and can be provided as individual components, or as a complete system. ATS offers all equipment including; tanks, pumps, filters, and complete systems for clients who wish to run their own system. Our rental equipment can be used with any of the following applications: Stormwater runoff containment Dewatering projects Groundwater Control Dredging Projects And much More!!!
