2 Jeff Reekers Lawline.com New York, NY Jeff Reekers is the Chief Operating Officer at Lawline.com, a leading e learning provider which has offered over 1,000,000 certificates of attendance for continuing education credit. Much of his work has been on on intersecting education, technology, and design to create revolutionary learning tools, including the ipad and mobile devices. He has spoken on this many times, most recently for the elearning Guild on, "How to Integrate Social Learning into your Online Platform." Prior to Lawline, Jeff worked at the online media outlet Forbes.com, where he pursued his interest in online media and broadcasting and learned much of the foundation of his current work. On the side, Jeff was also a former professional baseball player, and is now an active endurance athlete, having recently completed the Ironman Triathlon, along with double digit marathons and shorter races. Unger is an attorney and CEO of HMU Consulting, Inc. and founding principal of Affinity Consulting Group, LLC, a nationwide consulting company providing legal technology consulting, training, and continuing legal education. Prior to forming HMU in February of 2000, he was vice president of a Columbus based technology consulting firm. Mr. Unger spent five years at Clark, Perdue, Roberts & Scott Co., L.P.A., limiting his practice to civil litigation. He specializes in trial presentation & litigation technology consulting, document and case management software, paperless office strategies, and legalspecific software training for law firms and legal departments throughout the Midwest. Mr. Unger has provided trial presentation consultation for 300+ cases. Mr. Unger is a member of The American Bar Association, the Ohio and Columbus Bar Associations, and the Ohio Association for Justice and the Central Ohio Association for Justice. He is very active in the Law Practice Management Section of the American Bar Association, and served as Chair of ABA TECHSHOW th Year Anniversary. He is also an Adjunct Professor for Capital University Law School's Paralegal Program. Paul is a national speaker and frequent lecturer for CLE programs. He is the author of Adobe Acrobat for Law Firms, PowerPoint for Legal Professionals, and co author of Microsoft Word for Legal Professionals, all manuals designed to maximize the use of legal specific features. Mr. Unger is a 1994 graduate of Capital University Law School.
