1 One pitch, two locations... From The World Cup & Canary Wharf 2014 to Dunton Bassett 2015 Dura-Sport Recycle an Artificial Grass Football Pitch to Create a State-of-the-Art Facility for a Leicestershire Club

2 How it all began... May 2014 Dura-Sport installed a top of the range 3G synthetic grass football pitch for Lucozade at Canary Wharf Lucozade launch the World Cup Conditions Zone a high profile 3 week indoor football promotion, attracting thousands of player participants In three weeks time, Dura-Sport would remove and dispose of the pitch

3 What would happen to the 3 week old pitch?... It would be sent to landfill Dura-Sport were uncomfortable with this the pitch was almost new so, with the help of their partners, they embarked on a project to recycle the pitch by removing it, transporting it back to Leicestershire and reconstructing it for a local community football club.

4 Three weeks later... And so began the laborious process of lifting and removing the artificial grass surfacing from the Canary Wharf pitch and transporting it back to Leicestershire where it would be stored, free of charge, by Pinnacle International Freight in Broughton Astley.

5 Planning... MUGA-UK Ltd were asked to assist in the project by providing CAD drawings and submitting the planning application on behalf of the football club.

6 Preparation... The FOX team began preparing the ground for the re-location of the recycled Lucozade pitch at Dunton & Broughton Rangers FC in South West Leicestershire Dunton & Broughton Rangers FC FA Charter Standard Club 4 senior teams & junior teams from 5 to 15 A focal point of the rural local community Currently forced to rent pitches in Broughton Astley for junior sides & training Unable to apply for large grants to develop their facilities

7 Installation... Dura-Sport s installation team carry out the final grading and reconstruction of the recycled 3G pitch at Dunton & Broughton Rangers FC.

8 Fencing... The final grooming of infill was completed and Leicestershire-based fencing specialists Lee Brothers at cost fabricated and powder coated a 3 metre high sports rebound fence and lockable gates which they installed free of charge to secure the area. The existing floodlights were repaired and upgraded.

9 Mission complete...

10 Dura-Sport, along with our partners have successfully: Recycled an artificial grass pitch which would have otherwise been sent to landfill Provided a local community football club with a state of art floodlit facility that they could not have achieved alone Reduced the carbon footprint by removing the need for club players to travel between villages Invested in the development of grass roots football in our local area

11 I can confidently speak on behalf of everyone associated with Dunton and Broughton Rangers Football Club by saying that we are all delighted and very grateful for the extreme generosity that Dura-Sport have shown to our club. This training facility is one that we would never have expected to have until Dura-Sports kind offer. It will provide all our current junior and senior teams with a first class facility and of course will be there for our future up and coming youngsters in the village when they reach an age to join our club and play football.
