GLAZER FAMILY FOUNDATION VISION PROGRAM Since 2006, the Glazer Family Foundation Vision Program has helped detect and correct vision problems for Central Florida s most underprivileged youth through on-site visits to Title I schools. With over 10,000 eye exams given and nearly 5,000 new pairs of prescription glasses distributed, the Vision Program has enabled our youngest generation to see the world more clearly. CHEERING YOU ON! The Cheering You On! program supports every child admitted into one of eight hospitals in Central Florida by providing patients with a teddy bear, helping to brighten their spirits throughout the hospital stay. Buccaneers players, cheerleaders, and Captain Fear have helped deliver the teddy bears for the program, which has donated more than 465,900 teddy bears since The Glazer Family Foundation was established in 1999 to better the lives of children and families by establishing lasting, impactful programs throughout Florida communities. Since that time, the Foundation has given millions of dollars in programs, grants, tickets and merchandise to the Tampa Bay area. Visit to learn more. BUC-PACKS FOR BACK-TO-SCHOOL More than 25,000 underprivileged youth have been given a new backpack full of school supplies through the Buc- Packs for Back-To-School program, an annual effort to provide the community s future leaders our students with the tools to succeed. COLLECTION DRIVES Since 1999, the Glazer Family Foundation has teamed up with Buccaneers fans at each home game through gameday collection drives. The drives encourage fans to support the local community through the Glazer Family Foundation s School Supply, Military Appreciation, Sports Equipment, Toys for Tots, and Sack Hunger Drives. community Players 2012 Review History Records Sidelines COMMUNITY 15

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers store at Enterprise Village provides a hands-on learning experience within a community marketplace setting to thousands of students each year. HOLIDAY SHOPPING SPREE Each year, the Glazer Family Foundation hosts more than 250 underprivileged children for an exciting early morning shopping spree with assistance from some of Santa s special helpers: Tampa Bay Buccaneers Cheerleaders, Captain Fear, the Women s Organization and Buccaneers staff. The children all receive gifts chosen just for them and filled with the holiday spirit. 16 COMMUNITY GAMEDAY FOR KIDS Since 1999, the Glazer Family Foundation has hosted over 13,000 underprivileged youth through the Gameday For Kids program. Each season, 1,000 children receive the opportunity of a lifetime to spend pre-game moments on the playing field and cheer on their favorite team, the Buccaneers, from exclusive seats in Raymond James Stadium. TAMPA BAY SPORTS COMMISSION Through donations nearing $1 million, the Glazer Family Foundation has continued its commitment to support the Tampa Bay Sports Commission. These efforts provide amateur athletic opportunities in Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties for Bay area children.
BUCS CARE: BEING CHAMPIONS FOR OUR COMMUNITY The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are dedicated to making a difference in the Tampa Bay area through programming that will inspire, equip and celebrate the Champion in each of us. Through education, character development, and health and wellness initiatives, the team supports its key constituents: youth and military. To learn more, visit BUCS CARE FITNESS ZONES Since 2010, the Buccaneers have equipped eight Hillsborough County Title I elementary schools with BUCS CARE Fitness Zones, six of them in partnership with Hess Corporation. The BUCS CARE Fitness Zones provide nearly 4,000 students with a safe, shaded area to play outside offering protection from Florida s heat. COACH OF THE WEEK Over the past five years, the Buccaneers have donated more than $55,000 to local schools through the Coach of the Week program, an initiative that rewards high school football teams for achieving success while exhibiting safe, fundamental play. Coach of the Week recipients are honored at One Buccaneer Place by Head Coach Greg Schiano, and a Coach of the Year is selected to receive an additional donation presented at Raymond James Stadium. DAY OF GIVING In 2012, the Buccaneers Day of Giving program provided a very special holiday to children from Bay-area communities. One hundred youth had the opportunity to receive over $20,000 in holiday gifts from their wish lists during a halftime celebration at Raymond James Stadium. D-LINE DOES CHRISTMAS Each season, the Buccaneers defensive line spends the holidays with local families and provides them with a day full of surprises. Through the D-Line Does Christmas program, nearly 30 families received gifts for their children and were then whisked away to a local store for a shopping spree with the players. FOURTH GRADE TOURS Beginning with the 2010 school year, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have welcomed fourth graders from Hillsborough County Schools for a tour of One Buccaneer Place, the Buccaneers training facility, featuring a behindthe-scenes look at career opportunities that exist in the world of professional football. Over 5,000 students have visited us on these weekly tours in the past two years. FRONT ROW FANS Tampa Bay Buccaneers players, coaches and staff say thank you to the nonprofit community by inviting them to be their guests on gameday as Front Row Fans. More than 55,000 representatives of youth organizations, health and wellness charities, and school groups have enjoyed front row seats, to help lead the cheers at Raymond James Stadium. community Players 2012 Review History Records Sidelines COMMUNITY 17
Sidelines Records History 2012 Review Players community JOSH FREEMAN S THE PLAN When Buccaneers quarterback Josh Freeman was in fourth grade, he wrote down his detailed plan to become an NFL quarterback and the steps he would need to take to achieve his goal. The Plan encourages fourthgrade students in Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties to follow Freeman s lead and write down their own future plan. Launched in 2012, the program has been widely adopted and has reached over 20,000 students. LACE IT UP FOR KIDS At Training Camp every year, hundreds of underserved children are hosted for a special day with Buccaneers players and cheerleaders, including being outfitted with a new pair of comfortable, reliable sneakers. Over 2,300 students have kicked off the start of school with a new pair of shoes through the Lace It Up For Kids program. HOMETOWN HUDDLE Each season, all 32 NFL teams come together for a day of service with United Way agencies throughout the country. Hometown Huddle provides opportunities for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to reach into communities that need our help the most. In 2012, the Buccaneers dedicated a Bucs CARE Fitness Zone at Potter Elementary School as part of Hometown Huddle outreach with United Way Suncoast. KICKING FOR KIDS The Buccaneers have a direct impact on children in need through the Kicking for Kids program, a partnership with Raymond James Financial that raises $1,000 for every field goal converted by the Buccaneers during the season. Since 2000, more than $230,000 has been donated to local children s hospitals thanks to the Buccaneers Special Teams success. MOTHER S DAY MAKEOVERS PLAY 60 The Buccaneers embrace the NFL s PLAY 60 initiative a campaign encouraging youth to play at least 60 minutes a day, every day. The team connects its youngest fans with healthy living habits through programs including the PLAY 60 Challenge, where students logged nearly 45,000 hours of exercise in a four-week period, and the PLAY 60 Super School contest, in which two Florida schools were equipped with a total of $20,000 in PLAY 60 grants for demonstrating their PLAY 60 spirit. Since its inception in 2010, the Mother s Day Makeover program has given a one-in-a-lifetime experience to women in Tampa Bay by providing a special day of shopping and pampering to courageous mothers who either serve in the military or have a loved one currently serving our nation. 18 COMMUNITY
ROOKIE CLUB Since 2001, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Rookie Club has provided opportunities for the team s newest players to give back to the community. Through countless outreach events, the Buccaneers Rookie Club members have donated over 1,000 hours of service, uplifting spirits and bringing joy to members of the community in their new hometown, Tampa Bay. PUNT, PASS & KICK In 2012, the Buccaneers participated in the annual NFL Punt, Pass and Kick program, the nation s largest grassroots sports skills competition. The team hosted a sectional contest at One Buccaneer Place and then invited winners from competitions throughout Central Florida to take part in the team championship at Raymond James Stadium before a Buccaneers home game. STREET TEAM With the help of the Street Team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers embrace the community 12 months a year. Whether promoting the PLAY 60 campaign at youth festivals, lending an extra hand in outreach initiatives, or hoisting the flag in local county parades, the Buccaneers Streets Team proudly serves as a team ambassador throughout the Bay. TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS FIELD The Buccaneers broke ground on a new playing field in Clearwater s North Greenwood community through a $100,000 grant. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Field will provide thousands of Clearwater youth with a safe place to play recreational sports while developing values of sportsmanship and teamwork. TRAINING CAMP Every summer, the Buccaneers welcome thousands of community members to One Buccaneer Place as special guests at the team s Training Camp. Whether it s a charitable group taking part in Gatorade Junior Training Camp a grassroots program that allows children to learn football drills with the pros, a youth agency receiving free backpacks and shoes to start the school year, or military members enjoying special treatment as a thanks for their service, the team opens its gates to welcome those who make our community stronger. TEAM DAVIN A leader on and off the field, Buccaneers Guard Davin Joseph has become the team s United Way ambassador to the community. Through TEAM DAVIN, nearly 3,700 future volunteers signed up in 2012 to join Davin Joseph in his quest to increase early childhood literacy in Tampa Bay. TURKEY TIME WITH THE O-LINE Through the generosity of the Buccaneers offensive linemen, Turkey Time with the O-Line provided more than 750 families with a complete Thanksgiving meal in Since its start in 2007, over 3,700 families have been part of this holiday program. community Players 2012 Review History Records Sidelines COMMUNITY 19
