1 TT-WLD-RFA-0004 Annex E - III DUNS Registration Instructions If your business is located outside the continental United States, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands, you can t get a DUNS number over the phone. Instead you must obtain one online. Obtaining a DUNS number is absolutely free for all entities doing business with the Federal government. This includes current and perspective Contractors, Grantees, and Loan recipients. Under normal circumstances the DUNS is issued within 1-2 business days when using the D&B online process. A D&B Representative has confirmed that your entity has a new D-U-N-S Number. It is always best to confirm the correct D-U-N-S Number for your entity with D&B going online at or by calling (US Only). International registrants can confirm by sending an to [email protected], including Company Name, D-U-N-S Number, and Physical Address, and Country.
