The European Imaging Academy SpectroNet Collaboration Forum 2014 shows innovative solutions for next generation of modularized photonic imaging by smartpads for mobile individual teaching, learning and hands-on training. Experts of photonic measurement engineering and quality assurance show innovative individual qualification capabilities for photonic dimensional, color and spectral measurements with digital image processing. Focal points are the paradigm shifting digital academies, software apps and hardware apps because of their convenient, reliable and affordable global mobility. STEMMER IMAGING is Europe's largest imaging technology provider with the headquarter in Germany (Puchheim near Munich) and subsidiaries in Tongham UK, Suresnes F, Zutphen NL, Stockholm S, Sespoo FI, Glostrup DK, Lowicz PL. Image Processing and Machine Vision are used in many different application areas - such as industrial automation, production technologies, biological and medical imaging, security and traffic technology - as a powerful and cost effective way of implementing automatic quality assurance. Even at high speeds and with stringent accuracy requirements, image processing allows 100% monitoring and thus strengthens the competitive edge of those companies using it. SpectroNet is a highly specialized international collaboration cluster for smart and innovative vision solutions in industry, biology and medicine, environmental protection and security. It is organized by the Technology and Innovation Park Jena GmbH. Currently about 70 companies, research institutes and education facilities are collaborating for photonic measurement engineering and quality assurance with dimensional, color and spectral imaging technologies and promoting the transition from stationary laboratory measurement equipment to smart and mobile in-field measurement systems. Puchheim is a city near Munich in the district of Fürstenfeldbruck, in Bavaria, Germany. It has about 20,000 inhabitants. Puchheim is well connected to the regional and national traffic network by S-Bahn (S4) from Munich Central Station in about 20 min and Autobahn (A 8, A 99).
