17 Action Research: Math and English Assessment Results First round of placement tests took place in April 2014 Participants were retested at the end of Summer Bridge in July More than half of the students placements improved by 1-3 levels, for a savings of 19 semesters and $3,496 fees Math English Round 1 Round @ @ @ Page 17

23 Lessons Learned/Validated Coordinate closely with Enrollment Services to ensure that all necessary fees are covered (enrollment, health, student activities and rep fees, etc.) Identify the right faculty and staff with a commitment to developmental programs like summer bridge Include as many faculty/staff as possible to expand the pool of familiar faces and connections for the students Page 23
