1 Immediate Opening for a Child Care Provider Trinity Cathedral in downtown Omaha is seeking candidates to serve as a Child Care Provider who will provide nursery care on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. Candidates must possess a love for and commitment to protect and nurture children in a Christian environment as well as an ability to work with others. This is a year round employee position. Additionally, nursery care for special events to be determined on a case by case basis; including but not limited to care for the Annual Parish Meeting, Holy Week, Easter, Christmas services, and other occasions as requested. Trinity Episcopal Cathedral 109 North 18th Street Omaha, NE Title: Child Care Provider Reports To: Director of Children and Youth Ministry Hours: 8am 12pm, Sunday mornings & 6:30pm - 9:00pm, Wednesday evenings Salary: $10 per hour Basic Requirements: At least 18 years of age Certified in Basic First Aid and Adult/Pediatric CPR (cost of training covered by Christ Church) Completion of online Shield the Vulnerable training upon hire Prior child care experience 2 professional references Job Description: Arrive at 8:00 am to open parish nursery. Be on site to care for children age 3 months through 4 years old. Expected to provide care which includes: feeding, changing diapers,

2 maintaining a safe environment, putting children down for a nap, holding, sitting with, and interacting with the children by means of games, stories, crafts and play. Work with another nursery worker or volunteer, two employees or volunteers must staff nursery at all times. Keep track of supplies (paper towels, napkins, baby wipes, etc.) and communicate with the Director of Children and Youth Ministry about the need to order additional items. Maintain a safe environment for children and adults. Nursery workers will abide by Trinity Cathedral Nursery policy. Maintain the nursery in good order, returning the nursery to the same or better condition than it was found. Submit time sheet with hours of service to Director of Children and Youth Ministry. Accountable to notify the Director of Children and Youth Ministry of planned absences at least 2 weeks ahead of time and of last-minute illness no later than 6 hours before the beginning of the scheduled event. There will be a six month review of position. Nursery care providers report to Director of Children and Youth Ministry with oversight by the Dean.
