Bayley s Diploma of Project Management is ideal if you are currently or planning to be a: project team leader, or project manager This qualification will allow you to advance your skills to the level of a professional project manager, by enabling you to: Determine project objectives, identify project lifecycle, develop a plan to manage scope and changes throughout the lifecycle Plan, implement and manage the costs, scope and time frame of projects Communicate effectively with staff and stakeholders Manage the procurement process within the project Identify risks and develop risk management strategies You will gain skills to oversee projects to meet goals and objectives of your department or organisation. The course provides a theoretical understanding of project management as well as practical tools and skills for implementation in your workplace. Entry Requirements To successfully complete this qualification, you must have at least a functional level of English suited to the workplace (reading, writing, understanding and speaking). Our experience also shows that the best results from this program come when you: are at least 25 years of age have some relevant work experience on which to draw have the capacity for independent learning have the capacity for group work (for face to face delivery) Fantastic course. 3 Connected to Industry We work closely with employer representatives to ensure that the skills you learn on our courses are applicable in the workplace. With their assistance, we develop training scenarios and activities that are closely relevant to actual situations you might encounter in the real work world. Because of this, you do not need to be currently employed in a project management role to be able to complete this qualification, although it is usually advantageous to your progress if you are able to draw on work experience as you study. Australian Institute of Project Management We strongly support professionalism and believe that this starts with being appropriately qualified. Bayley s Diploma of Project Management is endorsed by the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM). This qualification meets entry requirements for Membership of the AIPM. Receive 40 AIPM CPD points for this qualification. The course and materials were very relevant to me. It was extremely beneficial to my current role and has prepared me for future positions.

4 Course Delivery Methods We offer two options for you to obtain your Diploma of Project Management: Face to face classroom training Recognition of Prior Learning Face to Face The course duration is 10 days, 8 days of training (usually delivered in 2 and 3 day blocks) and 2 days of assessment. You will learn by a combination of instructor led presentation, reading key materials, group discussion, individual assessment tasks, group assessment tasks and other learning activities. Most people who have the recommended work background are able to complete the work in the time allocated in class, minimising the need for homework. People without the recommended work background usually find that they need to allocate time to preparation, revision and consolidation. This will vary from person to person, but could require up to 40 hours of additional private study for some people. The last 2 days of the course are an assessment workshop. All assessment requirements are self-contained and can be completed during the assessment workshop. We usually offer this course at least twice a year, and dates for upcoming courses can be found on our web site. Minimum class size for a course to run is 6 participants. Maximum class size is 15 participants. The presenter was very knowledgeable and adapted to students needs. If you prefer, you may also contact us to be placed on a waiting list for our next course and we will let you know when registrations open for that. We also offer this course on an in-house basis for work groups of 6 or more. This can be tailored to your particular organisation s requirements. Contact us for more information. 5 Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) You may have acquired some or all of the competencies that make up this qualification through work experience, life experience or other training that you have completed. If this is the case, you may be eligible for RPL. This means you may not need to attend training in those units where you are able to demonstrate that you are already competent. At Bayley, we have developed a welldeveloped, flexible RPL process that saves experienced people time, frustration and money.
