ADMINISTRATIVE AND EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE Vice President & Chief Academic Officer, Tulsa Community College August, 2008 Tulsa, Oklahoma to Present As VPAA/CAO, my responsibilities include serving as the Chief Academic Officer, providing supervisory leadership and fiscal guidance to six of the President s Cabinet members (four campus Provosts, an Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs, and an Associate Vice President for Student Affairs), the Director of Planning and Institutional Research, Academic Compliance Manager, Director of Sponsored programs, and Dean of High School Relations & George Kaiser Family Foundation Endowed Chair of Collegiate Academies. The realm of personnel responsibilities is comprised of over 1,500 full- and part-time Academic Affairs and Student Affairs employees including 307 full-time faculty and 1,100 part-time faculty. In addition, I serve as Chair of the Academic Council, Cabinet Advisor for the HLC Open Pathways Committee, Co-Chair of the Strategic Planning Steering Committee, Cabinet Liaison to the Board of Regents Academic and Policy Committee, TCC Critical Incident Team Member, and serve as a member of numerous other College committees. Lastly, I served on the OSRHE Council on Student Affairs for four years and currently serve on the Council on Instruction. Vice President for Academic Affairs, Rose State College, August, 2000 Midwest City, Oklahoma to August, 2008 As VPAA and a member of the Executive Council, my responsibilities included: serving as the chief academic affairs officer, providing leadership and fiscal guidance to five academic divisions, a comprehensive Learning Resources Center, and Continuing Education programs. The Academic Affairs Division was made up of a staff of more than five hundred full- and part-time employees. Included in the RSC Academic Affairs area of responsibility was student assessment, program evaluation and development, business and industry outreach and training, interinstitutional articulation agreements, distance education, service learning and external accreditation compliance. In addition, I served on the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education Council on Instruction. Associate Director/Graduate Research Associate, High School & College Relations, Oklahoma State University In this academic student recruitment position my responsibilities included: recruiting at selected high schools and community colleges; the analysis and development of marketing strategies; the scheduling of all recruitment personnel; direct supervision of five professional staff members, two classified staff members and three student workers; and the training and mentoring of new university representatives and student tour guides. Instructor, Higher Education Administration, Oklahoma State University Participated in a two-member team instruction for the following required doctoral-level courses with Dr. Stephen G. Katsinas: The Community Junior College and Higher Education Administration. Director of Alumni and School Relations, University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma Responsibilities included all aspects of the coordination related to USAO s School Relations program, encompassing all student recruitment activities, the development of departmental budgets, supervision of Alumni and School Relations staff, representing USAO at in-state and out-of-state high schools and community colleges, consulting with prospective students, developing and maintaining accurate computer files of all contacts and providing timely follow-up correspondence. In addition, administered the Alumni Affairs Office, designed and published the USAO Alumni Today magazine, presented seminars, served as the association s development officer and organized the annual homecoming activities. Along with my assigned administrative duties, taught public speaking, argumentation and debate and small group discussion.
