Frequently Asked Questions THE ITALIAN EATERY Why is The Italian Eatery applying for a 9 year 11 month lease? The Italian Eatery is applying for a 9 year 11 month lease to secure their financial investment for the significant renovation and fitout project for both the Bookmakers League & Entrance Gate buildings which will see this space converted into a cafe located in the Park Lands. The Bookmakers will support and provide an alternative use to the current sporting and event activities seen in Victoria Park /Pakapakanthi such as the criterium track, premium pitch, and other scheduled events through the on-going sale of food and beverage. Will I still be able to utilise the Victoria Park and the Bookmakers League? Once the renovation & fitout project is complete all Park Lands users will be able to visit the Bookmakers. This space will continue to be an open public cafe where visitors to the Park Lands may purchase food and beverage. How will this affect the users of Victoria Park? It is envisaged that the proposed 9 year 11 month lease will not affect users of Victoria Park /Pakapakanthi. As currently experienced, the community will continue to benefit from the use of Victoria Park /Pakapakanthi. What change will be seen? The only change that will be experienced in this area is the opening of a cafe for the public sale of food and beverage as well as an outdoor dining area.
