Number of Years: 10 Describe your experience and the results you delivered while in a leadership role in an enterprise, board or governing body. (300 words or less) Describe your experience and accomplishments in leading a team or organization through a major (Filled in as Follows:) (Filled in as Follows:) This year, as ICF President, I was able to effectively facilitate ICF Board meetings, moving our agenda forward and creating a work environment conducive to productive discussions and decision-making. As ICF ambassador, I presented ICF s strategic priorities and the study on Coaching in Organization to chapters in Dublin, Milan, Frankfurt, Budapest, Buenos Aires, Mexico City, Los Angeles. Additional presentations are planned for Washington DC, Shanghai, Beijing,, Munich, Berlin, Santiago de Chile, Sao Paulo, and Vancouver. I also implemented virtual ICF board chapter meetings to further communication and collaboration with local chapters. I have successfully virtually engaged with more than 10 chapters all over the world including India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Indianapolis, Ecuador, Maryland, Los Angeles, Ireland. For the last four years, I have also supported the Latin American ICF chapters, mentoring the ICF Presidents and increasing the regional membership from 300 members to 1200 members. From 2010 to 2012, I led a team of ICF Chapter Presidents in Latin America. One of the major outcomes was the local chapters members joined ICF global. For the last three years, as an ICF Board member, I have worked successfully with AI staff and built a true partnership. Even though sometimes I may not agree with staff perspectives, our relationship has been built on mutual respect, trust, collaboration, and shared vision of success and growth for ICF and the coaching profession. This year, In my role as ICF President, I have also worked on helping my board members colleagues to appreciate the work ICF staff does, which many times goes beyond of what may be expected for association management employees. (300 words or less) The ICF Board has identified the following capabilities and experiences that are necessary for successful board service. - Ethics and ethical decision making - Government regulatory compliance - Legal responsibilities of nonprofit boards - Global mindset - Financial management and budgeting As an ICF Board member, I had to demonstrate all competencies for the last three years but if I have to choose my strengths I will say that Global Mindset will be number one. I have visited more than 50 countries and worked in over 40 in person. In 201, as part of my personal business and in my role as ICF President, I visited more than 10 countries in Asia, Europe, Australia and the Americas and worked virtually in almost 20 countries. I have experience building effective relationships with people from different cultures and collaborating in projects that may require flexibility and adaptability from my part. The second strength will be practiced leadership experience. Over the last twenty years, I led teams in nonprofit organizations as staff as well as volunteer. Recently, I led the ICF Latin American Region, and the ICF global Board. My leadership style is participative, democratic, and assertive when necessary. I purposefully work on finding a balance on building effective relationships and getting the work done.

My skills and experience in the Latin American region may help lead this new initiative and overcome possible concerns.
