2 Dear Colleagues, The Belgian Heart Rhythm Association (BeHRA) is pleased to announce the 7 th Belgian Heart Rhythm Meeting Arrhythmias for every Cardiologist Thursday 3 rd and Friday 4 th October 203 The Belgian Heart Rhythm Meeting aims at sharing expertise on the various diagnostic tools and therapeutic possibilities available to practitioners when deciding upon which approach best serves arrhythmic patients. Accreditation The 7 th Belgian Heart Rhythm Meeting is accredited by the Belgian Health Insurance Agency for 0 credit points in cardiology (activity number ) and 4,5 credit points in economy/ethics (activity number ). that will be held at the Sheraton Brussels Airport Hotel and Congress Centre. With this meeting, we offer an annual opportunity for non arrhythmia specialists to update their knowledge with the most recent guidelines and innovations in clinical rhythmology. Over the past 6 years, more than 900 cardiologists attended at least one of the previous editions of the Belgian Heart Rhythm Meeting with more than 300 cardiologists being present each year. By attending this 2-days event, cardiologists are informed on the latest developments in arrhythmias, enabling them to further improve their daily practice. A renowned national and international faculty will share expertise on the various diagnostic tools and therapeutic possibilities available to cardiologists when deciding upon which approach best serves patients suffering from arrhythmias. 2 3 The 7 th Belgian Heart Rhythm Meeting is accredited by the European Board for Accreditation in Cardiology (EBAC) for 2 hours of External CME Credits. Besides teaching lectures, special case-based sessions will give the opportunity to discuss practical day-to-day questions with experts, covering all fields of arrhythmias, including the use of pacemakers and defibrillators, VT-ablation, ECG interpretation and atrial fibrillation management. The Theatre is part of the beautiful Le Plaza Hotel, an Art Deco palace designed by the distinguished Swiss architect Michel Polak. First opened in 93 under the reign of Belgian King Albert I, it is one of the oldest hotels in Brussels. Inspired by the luxurious Four Seasons George V hotel in Paris, the Le Plaza Hotel and its theatre unique in its Hispano-Arabic and Moorish architectural style enchant the eye no matter where one looks. French facades, high ceilings and vast spaces contribute to create the refined elegance of this hotel, which is preserved as part 2 of the Belgian heritage list. 3 In the 950s, the Le Plaza Hotel was widely known as one of the most luxurious of its trade in Brussels. It became a place of rendez-vous, stopover and holiday for the aristocracy and stars who were regular guests at the time. Economic hardships and tough competition forced the hotel to close its doors in 976. Two decades passed before the Le Plaza Hotel was reborn in 996 at the initiative of its owner, Baron van Gysel de Meise. It was carefully renovated and returned to its original architectural beauty while at the same time refurbished to provide modern comfort to the highest standard. In 2004, the Le Plaza Hotel was awarded the title of Royal Warrant Holder of the Belgian royal family. The title is a mark of trust and recognition of excellence both of which the Le Plaza Hotel is committed to uphold.
