I have asked to provide a price to a mechanical contractor in Thunder Bay for the above project. After going over the attached spec and schedule, I need to inform you that the condensing unit (CD-01) does not have a extra low ambient -40C cooling option. The S-Series City Multi system has a low ambient cooling limit of -5 degc. In order to have extra low ambient cooling, multiple P-Series units will need to be used. The IO interface can be plugged into the indoor evaporator for tie into the BMS. I have attached submittals for the 2.5 ton and 3 ton ceiling concealed ducted P-Series units as well as the IO interface. A6. - The proposed units are not acceptable. The unit specified as part of the mechanical specifications has a low ambient operation option in which the contractor has to provide a low ambient kit and wind guards. Please contact Mitsubishi Air Conditioning directly so they may be able to direct their inquiry with the local distributer.
