March 26, 2016 AAPS BID NO ADDENDUM NO. 03- PROJECT: DESCRIPTION: Ann Arbor Public Schools Mitchell Expansion Phase I Bid Pkg. 3 (MEP) Building Addition and Renovationsconcrete footings, foundations, flatwork The work clarified or revised by this Addendum shall be the same as required by the complete set of Contract Documents. All incidentals required in connection with the Work of this Addendum shall be Included in the Scope of Work even if not specially specified. All bidders are responsible to review the Addendum and to acknowledge receipt of this Addendum on the space provided on the Bid Proposal Form. The following items are included in Addendum No. 3 for Mitchell Expansion Phase I Bid Pkg.3 (MEP): I. TEXT/WRITE UPS - The following text/write ups have been added to the Bid documents via this addendum: HGC Addendum No. 3, dated (This document); II. SPECIFICATIONS: Section HVAC and Section Electrical have been reissued with add items/clarifications in bold Carpenter Road Ypsilanti, MI 48197

All bids are due no later than 2PM on March 31, Bids must be received at the AAPS Administration Building located at 2555 S State Street, Ann Arbor, MI A bid bond is required, in the amount of 5% of the contractors bid. If the bid amount is less than $50, a certified check in the amount of 5% of the bid is acceptable. 3. It is reiterated that all bid envelopes must indicate the bid category and must include the AAPS Familial Affidavit and Iran Economic Sanctions Act form. 4. THERE IS NO ADDENDUM NO. 1 or ADDENDUM NO. 2 FOR THIS BID PACKAGE. 5. The project does not require prevailing wages. 6. ALL BIDDERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO PROVIDE VOLUNTARY ALTERNATES. 7. Bid Category HVAC: Items #20, 21, 22 have been added to the bid category description. (attached) 8. Bid Category Plumbing: Item #24 has been added to the bid category description.(attached) 9. It is anticipated that Footings will commence on or about April 6, 2016 and all work for the project must be complete by August 16, Include the costs to work all Saturdays, if the construction schedule mandates, from April 15, 2016 to August 31, Provide all safety equipment as required by OSHA and MIOSHA to perform the work of this bid category including required fall protection equipment/barriers. 4. Perform all caulking, if required, for the work of this bid category only. 5. Perform all fire stopping, if required, for the work of this bid category only. 6. Perform daily cleanup of the work of this bid category and dispose of the debris in on site dumpsters provided by the Construction Manager or remove off site as required by all governing bodies, codes, regulations, etc. 7. Perform all excavation and backfill for all work of this bid category. 8. This contractor will layout and mark all concrete slabs in the existing building that need to be sawcut and removed (by others). This contractor will do all excavation and backfill/compaction underneath the removed slab area to complete the work of this bid category and return the area to a condition ready to re-pour the areas(by others). 9. All domestic water piping inside the additions and existing building. 10. All sanitary and storm piping. 11. All water, sanitary, and storm piping shall be extended to 5 outside the building by the bid category where connections are necessary to NEW exterior underground piping. 12. All water, sanitary and storm piping that needs to be connected to existing structures or pipe outside of the building will be performed by this bid category. 13. All rain conductor piping. 14. All roof sumps/drains and floor drains 15. All valves, gauges, meters, necessary for all work of this bid category. 16. All gas piping and fittings, etc INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS

All pipe designations required by the specifications for the work of this bid category. 19. All testing required by the specifications for the work of this bid category. 20. All plumbing fixtures pursuant to the schedules on P3.1 including the emergency eye wash, emergency shower and electric water coolers.(elec. Connection by others) 21. All sleeves, penetrations of new or existing walls to complete the work of this bid category. 22. All excavation/backfill and coring of existing footings to complete the work of this bid category. 23. THIS BID CATEGORY SHALL INCLUDE AN ALLOWANCE OF $15, IN THE BASE BID TO BE USED AT THE DISCRETION OF THE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER FOR ADDITIONAL WORK. 24. This contractor shall include all saw-cutting, removals and replacement of concrete necessary for the work of this contract. Electric saws must be used on building interiors and existing surfaces must be protected. EXCLUSIONS 1. HVAC units/equipment by others 2. Electrical connection to water cooler by others 3. All temperature controls. 17. All HVAC demolition required in the existing building 18. All diffusers, grilles and registers 19. INCLUDE A $20, ALLLOWANCE IN THE BASE BID TO BE USED FOR ADDITIONAL WORK AT THE DISCRETION OF THE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER. 20. This contractor shall remove and reinstall all existing ceiling tile in the existing building required for the work of this contract. 21. This contractor shall lay out and coordinate all penetrations of existing masonry, drywall, and plaster walls. Cutting and patching will be done by others but this trade will take care to lay out penetrations to facilitate the least amount of cutting and patching necessary. 22. This contractor shall include all saw-cutting, removals and replacement of concrete necessary for the work of this contract. Electric saws must be used on building interiors and existing surfaces must be protected. EXCLUSIONS 1. All gas piping. 2. All conduit, boxes, cable tray, wiremold and miscellaneous as sundries required by the drawings and specifications for Owner s low voltage (Technology, security, etc) requirements. 8 Mitchell Expansion Phase I Bid Pkg All fire alarm system work to provide a complete fire alarm system pursuant to the work of this bid category in the new additions and the existing building where indicated. 14. All work to provide a complete Clock system in the new additions and the existing building where indicated.(note: All clock system notes and specifications are on the electrical drawings. There are no specification sections) 15. All work to provide a complete PA system in the new addition.(note: All PA/speaker notes and specification sections are on electrical drawings. There are no specification sections) 16. All electrical demolition required in the additions and in the existing building. 17. All new service equipment and panels, starters, disconnects etc. as indicated on the schedules. NOTE: Disconnects/Starters that are specified to be provided as packaged with a mechanical unit will be provided by others) 18. All floor boxes. 19. This bid category to coordinate all under slab work with other trades and the construction manager to expedite the installation of floor slab. 20. Final electrical connection of equipment provided by others shown on the documents including, but not necessarily limited to, electric water cooler, unit ventilators, HVAC equipment 21. INCLUDE AN ALLOWANCE OF $20, IN THE BASE BID TO BE USED AT THE DISCRETION OF THE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER FOR WORK OF THIS BID CATEGORY. 22.
