2 August 2015 Dear Monday Pro-Am Participant: Welcome to the 2015 Toshiba Classic. We are pleased to bring you inside the ropes for an unforgettable golf experience with the PGA Champions Tour. This handbook will serve as your guide in preparing you for the Monday Pro-Am. Please read through the information carefully. If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact the management office. Proceeds from the 2015 Toshiba Classic will benefit the Mary and Dick Allen Diabetes Center at Hoag, which provides comprehensive services for those with, or at risk for diabetes regardless of their ability to pay. The tournament has generated $17 million to benefit Hoag and other local charities in its 17-year history. We know your participation will lead to an enduring and meaningful contribution to the Mary and Dick Allen Diabetes Center and our other tournament charities. Exact air times to be determined. TOURNAMENT CHARITY: Since 1952, Hoag has served the local communities and continues it s mission to provide the highest quality health care services through the core strategies of quality and service, people, physician partnerships, strategic growth, financial stewardship, community benefit and philanthropy. Innovative and customized programs at the Allen Diabetes Center include Sweet Success, a program tailored for women who have diabetes while pregnant; pediatric diabetes services, a multicultural program and the Herbert Family Program for Young Adults with Type I diabetes. Additionally, the Allen Diabetes Center is committed to community outreach and programs that provide care to underserved populations. 5

6 PRO-AM SCHEDULE OF EVENTS Monday, October 26 Monday Pro-Am 2015 MONDAY PRO-AM 9:00-10:30 a.m. Registration & Gift Distribution 9:00-10:30 a.m. Practice Range Open 9:30-11:00 a.m. Brunch Service and Pairings 11:00 a.m. Shotgun Start 3:30 p.m. (or immediately after play) Awards and Barbecue Reception PARTIES/HOSPITALITY Temporary Facilities Due to the clubhouse construction at the Newport Beach Country Club this year, the Clubhouse Tent will serve as the dining room for all Monday Pro-Am functions. The Clubhouse Tent is located between holes #1/#9. Temporary lockers for amateur players will be located behind the Clubhouse Tent (lockers are only accessible by going through the Clubhouse Tent). Your money clip or guest badge will be required to gain access to the Clubhouse Tent and Locker Room. Pairings Brunch & Awards Reception Amateur players will discover their professional playing partners during the Pairings Brunch Monday morning. The Monday Pro-Am Pairings Brunch will be held Monday, October 26 in the Clubhouse Tent at the Newport Beach Country Club. The Pairings Brunch will be held from 9:30-11:00 a.m. and it is imperative that all amateurs attend. The Monday Pro-Am Awards Barbecue will be held immediately following Monday s round in the Clubhouse Tent. Your money clip and your guest badge will grant you and one guest access to the Pairings Brunch and Awards Barbecue. Golf attire is appropriate for both the Pairings Brunch and the Awards Barbecue. On-Course Food & Beverage Service Three (3) hospitality stations will be set-up on the course for the players enjoyment. This service is for players and one guest (with Monday Pro-Am Guest badge) only. CREDENTIALS & PARKING Your Pro-Am package includes numerous credentials for use throughout the tournament week. These credentials include: VIP Hospitality Credentials: Money Clip Your commemorative money clip will be given to you at registration on Monday. This clip will serve as your credential for every function during the Pro-Am, as well as a Patron badge with Clubhouse Tent access good throughout the remainder of the tournament. Please make sure that this is displayed at all times, as it will permit you access into hospitality areas and the locker room on your Pro-Am day. 6

7 CREDENTIALS & PARKING continued 2015 MONDAY PRO-AM Pro-Am Guest Badge This badge will also be given to you at registration. This special credential will permit one guest into the Clubhouse Tent for hospitality service as well as on course refreshments on Monday. This badge is non-transferable. (Upon entry into the Clubhouse Tent, a wristband will be placed on your guest who presents the Pro-Am Guest badge. Re-entry into the Clubhouse Tent will be permitted only with the badge and the wristband.) This badge is not valid any other day of tournament. Tournament Credentials: Patron Badge Two patron badges with Clubhouse Tent access are included. These badges DO NOT allow access in hospitality areas or to the Clubhouse Tent for Pro-Am food and beverage service on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Parking Vouchers Clubhouse Parking (Lot A) Your credential package includes a clubhouse parking voucher for Monday, October 26. This voucher will be turned into parking security upon arrival. If you wish to leave and return, security will provide you with a voucher to use upon your return. There is a map on the back of your parking voucher indicating in which lot you will park. Please be sure to follow the appropriate directions. OPERATIONS/MISCELLANEOUS Gift Distribution Pro-Am gift packages for the Monday Pro-Am may be picked up at the Gift Distribution Tent located at Newport Beach Country Club. The distribution area will be open from 9:00-10:30 a.m. and again following play. On-Site Registration All amateurs must register on Monday morning between 9:00-10:30 a.m. Registration will be in the Clubhouse Parking (Lot A), and you will be directed in your vehicle to the registration and bag drop tent. Please be on time as the Pairings Brunch will start at 9:30 a.m. promptly. Bag Drop & Storage Amateurs will drop off their golf bags at registration on Monday morning. From there, bags will be loaded onto carts waiting at the 1st and 10th tees. Amateurs who wish to practice may take clubs from their bag once the bag is on the cart at the appropriate tee. Security will be stationed at each tee to protect all bags. All clubs must be taken with you following the conclusion of play. You will be permitted to drive your cart into the parking lot to your vehicle. If desired, tournament staff will be available to assist. Commemorative Photos Each amateur will receive a commemorative photo as part of his or her gift package. Pictures will be taken on the course with teammates and professionals. Commemorative photos will be available at the Awards Barbecue in the clubhouse on Monday following play. 7

8 RULES AND REGULATIONS 2015 MONDAY PRO-AM The Toshiba Classic will follow strict adherence to United States Golf Association rules of play, and PGA TOUR Rules and Regulations. In addition, we have established our own rules and regulations to maximize your enjoyment and maintain fairness for all players. Competition Format The Monday Pro-Am will be contested under a one best-ball net format. Under this format, each player plays his or her own ball throughout each entire hole, and the lowest group score of the group using calculated handicaps will be recorded as the team score on each hole. Final standings will be determined based on total net score of one ball in the group over 18 holes of competition. Amateurs will play from the WHITE tees; ladies may play from the RED tees. Awards Prizes will be awarded from 1st through 3rd place. In the event of ties, final standings will be determined by a scorecard playoff. Registration/Handicaps Maximum allowable handicap under PGA TOUR policy is 27. Therefore, no handicaps will be granted above that limit. In addition, all handicaps will be verified prior to play. Any players not registering online with their handicap will be categorized as a 0, (scratch handicap). If you do not have a registered verifiable handicap at all, our Pro- Am competition chair will contact you to determine your status. The maximum handicap allowed is 18 for those without a GHIN or other association number. Online registration must be completed by October 9, Pace of Play According to PGA TOUR Policy, the round will be limited to 4 hours and 30 minutes. This time limit will be strictly enforced by the PGA TOUR. Net par is the maximum any player can take on any hole. Therefore, any player who is out of the hole must pick up his or her ball so that play can move along quickly. 8
