9 9. USER WORKSPACES SEPARATELY MANAGED RES PowerFuse separates the management of the user workspace from the operating system. Information on how the user workspace needs to be composed is stored in a central database and transferred to the local device as the user begins to work with it. This is critical in enabling user productivity; regardless of delivery platform, device, time, role or location a user will have a consistent workspace, dynamically composed by RES PowerFuse. 11 FOLDER SYNCHRONIZATION The majority of new Windows computers are now laptops, which means mobile workforces are on the rise, increasing the need for accessing data offline. Folder Synchronization allows the IT administrator to set up and execute synchronization of local and network folders, download files and folders from the network to local computers, and upload local files and folders to the network. Filters can be applied to include or exclude specific files, file types or file attributes. Timing options can be specified to control when to synchronize: on session start, on session end, on session reconnect or refresh, on application start or on application end. Rules can be set up to target people on devices in certain locations. ZERO PROFILE TECHNOLOGY There s no need for Profile Management when you can just get rid of your profiles. RES PowerFuse provides a unique method for storing and applying user settings outside the user s profile. Zero profile technology automatically and immediately preserves and applies user settings and it can be used either for specific applications or at a global level.
