We are fortunate to have John Hopke, campus minister at Christopher Newport University and the College of William and Mary as our featured guest. Come share in John's spirituality and musical talent. Honor your parents...oh yeah, we re going there! Senior Youth Group will meet on Sunday, April 19 th, at 6:15pm in SMH for our Pro-Life Panel. This is an opportunity for the youth to ask whatever questions they may have about pro-life issues. Kingdom Kids Nursery (1-3 yrs) meets for the duration of the 10AM Mass, every Sunday. KidCheck Account required. Children in the Nursery are introduced to Catholic concepts through Pflaum Gospel Weeklies, which invite children to listen to the Gospel and build Christian relationships. The nurturing staff and volunteers provide a safe, Christian environment for the children in their care. Parents who use the nursery are asked to volunteer about one Sunday per month to keep our Co-op Nursery staffed each Sunday at the 10am Mass. First Eucharist Banners that were distributed at the Parent Retreat should be completed at home and returned at this workshop. 1 st Eucharist Rehearsal will be on SATURDAY May 2 at 9:00am in the Worship Center. This rehearsal is for children and a parent. The first reception of the Eucharist will be at liturgies on the weekends of May 9/10 and 16/17. Prayer Partners: Thank you for your continued prayers for the children as they prepare to receive Jesus in the Eucharist for the first time! Confirmation Rehearsal will take place THIS Sunday, April 12 th, after the 5pm Mass (about 6:30pm). Candidates and Sponsors are asked to be present at this rehearsal. If a Sponsor cannot be present, a proxy may stand in his/ her place. The Confirmation Liturgy will be this Thursday, April 16 th. Please check-in at OLMC by 6:15pm with one of the team members. Mass will begin promptly at 7:00pm.

4 Page 4 April 12, 2015 Social Ministry Reflecting Christ Transformed by The Eucharist Reaching Out into community Blood Drive Needs Volunteers Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church will partner with the American Red Cross to sponsor a Blood Drive on: MAY 20th. Our area is in critical need of blood and so we need the support of volunteers to not only donate blood but I am looking for a team of about 6 people to help me coordinate the day. No needles necessary! We will be coordinating registration of blood donors and the snack area after donating. I need your help for a short period of time. Spam, Canned Pasta, Crackers, Soup, Boxed Potatoes, Pancake Syrup/Mix, Cereal, Personal Care Lotion, Soap, Deodorant, Toothpaste Parish Community Garden It is that time of year to begin planting our Community Garden. We are pulling the team together very soon and are looking for families who would like to help: plant, water, pick vegetables, etc. etc. etc. It is a wonderful way for families to participate in Social Ministry together. You can pick the days you are able to work as often or as little as you like. You set your own schedule!! Do you have a tiller? Want to help us get the ground ready? Do you have a little shovel? Want to help us put the plants in the ground? We have the water hose want to help us water? COME ON OUT! WE NEED YOU! They are passing out bags and lists of items to donate for the poor Clare's this weekend. Please return your bag with your donated items to the church the next weekend. Donations will be delivered to the Poor Clare Sisters. Thank you for your generosity to this caring, praying community. Are You Going to Be in the Hospital? Due to privacy regulations, Riverside Hospital is no longer providing a Catholic List. If you or a member of your family will be in Riverside Hospital and would like to receive Holy Communion during your hospital stay, a visit by a member of the parish s Healing Ministry team can be arranged. Programa para Mujeres, Madres y Soreras La oficina del Ministerio Hispano Our Lady of Mount Carmel, está organizando y programando el próximo programa para mujeres de las Comunidad Hispana, en el cual propone involucrar a toda mujer no importando su estado civil, el cual aprenderemos mucho acerca de la Espiritualidad de la Mujer, Ejemplo de "María Santísima Madre de DIOS" Retiro Youth Encuentro Una oportunidad para los jóvenes de nuestra comunidad hispana, conocer y crecer en su relación con Cristo, con la Iglesia y desarrollar habilidades de liderazgo. Este retiro será bilingüe y tendrá lugar los días sábado y domingo 18 y 19 de abril. Para mas información o formularios favor de ver a Christina Harrison o Diacono Francisco. Requisitos para bautizar: Los niños deben ser menores de 7 años. Los padres deben asistirá a las charlas de Bautismo El niño o niña, debe tener un padrino (hombre o mujer) Los padrinos tienen que cumplir con los siguientes requisitos: Mayores de 16 anos. Que tengan los 3 sacramentos de iniciación cristiana (Bautismo, Comunión y Confirmación) Soltero o Soltera. Si son dos padrinos, deben ser una mujer y un hombre. Sacramento de Confirmación para Adultos Prontamente habrá un programa de catequesis de 10 semanas, este aplica para personas que les falta el sacramento y que son activas en la comunidad parroquial. Habrá exposición del Santísimo, Veneración a la Imagen de la Divina Misericordia y el rezo de la coronilla de la Divina Misericordia. Sera Bilingüe. ACTIVIDADES DENTRO DE LA COMUNIDAD PARROQUIAL Primer Domingo de Mes: Reunidos por la Gracia. Tercer Domingo de Mes: Presentación de niños a la Comunidad, Convivio, bendición de cumpleaños. Ultimo Domingo de Mes. Registración para pertenecer a la Parroquia. Todos los días Jueves de 8:00am. Hasta las 6:00PM, esta expuesto el Santísimo Sacramento del Altar para adoración.
