2 Welcome Zenium Istanbul One provides 12,000 square metres of high specification technical space across three purpose-built data centers. It is Turkey s first wholesale data center offering; the data halls will be completely tailormade to accommodate each client s specific requirements. Built to the rigorous standards you would expect from the Zenium team, the data centers offer multi-layer security, diverse multi-carrier connectivity and a Tier III+ level of resilience to provide world-class bespoke, scalable and dedicated data suites.

3 Location Central Business District As one of the world s few transcontinental cities, Istanbul embraces both Europe and Asia. In response to a lack of high quality, purpose-built data centers within Istanbul, an absence of wholesale opportunities and a rising need for secure and resilient data center solutions, we have developed Zenium Istanbul One. Zenium Istanbul One is strategically located in close proximity to the International Financial Center (IFC) and within easy reach of the central business district. The Istanbul IFC will become the regional hub for the financial services community, underpinned by the relocation of the Turkish state-owned banks. The facility s location will benefit from the significant infrastructure enhancements that the IFC and associated investment will bring to the area. From a transportation perspective, the site is between the two international airports, close to both the trans-city highways and accessible via multiple public transport links. 5 Indicative Layout Typical Floor Plan Site Description Office Accommodation The site is planned to accommodate a total of 12,000 sq m of technical space, across three buildings, with multi-layer security throughout. Blocks A & B will be arranged over three storeys and provide,500 sq m of technical space; Block C will be arranged over two storeys and provide 3,000 sq m of raised floor space. All three buildings will be constructed from a concrete frame with proprietary steel insulated cladding designed to the highest level of earthquake code (as per government facilities and hospitals) to allow for immediate use and continued operation following a seismic event. Within each of the buildings, critical A&B plant rooms will be located on each floor on either side of the data halls. These rooms will contain the switchgear and UPS s to directly feed the data halls and allow for direct and secure connection of power to the racks. The A&B plant rooms provide complete redundancy of systems, ensuring a highly resilient and secure environment. Located on the roof of each building will be a steel gantry for cooling plant and to accommodate customer satellite dishes and antennas. Around the outside of each building will be dedicated areas for the installation of back-up generators. Zenium s philosophy is to deliver bespoke data halls from 500 sq m with dedicated MEP. In general, each data hall will be constructed from steel faced insulated walling to provide a one-hour fire rated enclosure. A heavy-duty raised floor of 12 KN/sq m will be installed at a height of 750mm to support the data racks and provide a plenum for the distribution of air. The size, technical specification and resilience of each data hall will be tailored to meet individual customer requirements. Each hall will benefit from easy access to a goods lift which will connect to dedicated delivery areas at ground floor level. Adjacent to each hall will be a dedicated customer area for use as a build room, storage or offices. Each building will also incorporate common ancillary office accommodation separated from the data halls. A reception area with a security office will be included to manage entry to the buildings. 6 Power The services will be installed and tested to provide a highly resilient, fully maintainable system without loss of power to the critical load, and without loss to data hall conditions. Mains power supplied via A&B 3.5kV incomers diversely routed Active / Active to supply 30MVA All power metered and charged as consumed at dedicated MV meters N+N power solutions dedicated to each hall Minimum N+N UPS with 10 minute battery back-up as standard Fully rated N+1 back-up generators with 8 hour fuel autonomy at full load, capable of continuous running Refuelling contracts to ensure timely replacement Connectivity Istanbul is well connected to the rest of Turkey with fibre optic backbones connecting all of the major cities. It also offers excellent international connectivity with submarine cables landing in the city. In addition, several international carriers have local points of presence. Zenium Istanbul One offers access to multiple providers and operates a carrier neutral policy, enabling customers to choose the telecommunications operator which best meets their needs. 7 Cooling The chilled water system will be provided in an N+1 configuration with multiple/single loop pipework distribution systems to match the free cooling chillers with the DFU s located internally to optimise the energy usage. Chillers located on the roof will be assigned for N+1 operation, each with its own run and standby pumps, and will run continuously. N+1 cooling infrastructure can be dedicated to each hall Independent cooling infrastructure, individually managed and linked to BMS Dedicated DFU s at N+2 to each hall Independently regulated temperature and humidity to each space Option for air cooled solutions, if required Building Management Systems (BMS) The BMS will provide full monitoring of all plant via comms connections and all main electrical breakers and power meters will also be monitored. The BMS will be capable of remote monitoring by each customer from a dedicated read only BMS terminal in their chosen location. Power and building monitoring systems to provide alarms Power surge management Dedicated 2 x 7 facilities management team 2 x 7 on-site M&E engineers undertaking Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programmes Energy Efficiency The data halls will be designed to operate efficiently, particularly in part load. Some of the key measures employed to minimise operating costs and maximise efficiencies include: Scalable UPS capable of energy mode operation Scalable optimised free cooling chillers ASHRAE T9 hall conditions Air cooled plant rooms with variable speed fans DFU supply temperature control PUE at full load of circa 1.35 Security Zenium Istanbul One will be designed to offer government-rated levels of physical and electronic security. Additional customer-specific measures can also be deployed, as required. 3 metre high secure perimeter fence with razor wire and concrete wall at base External CCTV and Geoquip trembler wire to fence Vehicle lock to site entrance with dual gates and rising bollards to protect from vehicle attack 2 x 7 x 365 on-site security located in secure control room and gatehouse Extensive CCTV and access control throughout facility Progressive layers of security to restrict access through the site Mantraps with biometric readers into data halls Ballistic-rated gatehouse with bag scanner and metal detector
