MDC Certificate Students receive a Certificate of Completion by Miami Dade College for enrollment in a course or group of courses that provides students with a body of knowledge specific to a focus area. Culinarium Global Logistics Associate Certificate Exam Preparation (96 Hours) - $940 Gain certification and knowledge for the world of global logistics and import/export with this blended (classroom 40 hours/online 56 hours) certification course presented in conjunction with the American Society of Transportation and Logistics. Successful completion of the course can convert to 12 credit hours in Supply Chain Management Degrees offered by community colleges in Florida. Lifeguard Training Certification Preparation This course provides entry-level participants the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel take over. ** Includes all student materials. ** Minimum age: 15 years See page 5. Personal Trainer Certification with WFA (Blended course) This blended course will provide you with the latest advances in exercise, nutrition and health, while preparing students for a Nationally Recognized Certification through the World Fitness Association (WFA). The course begins with eight hours of online preparation materials followed by 32 hours of face-to-face training in our fully equipped college facilities. Fee includes access to WFA online course material, online quizzes, Personal Training Manual, practical exam and written final exam. Course and materials are nonrefundable once registration is processed. Must be 18 years or older. See page 5. Project Management Professional (PMP ) Exam Prep - Hybrid This hybrid course is composed of two parts: 35 hours online and 2 classroom sessions seminar-style workshops. The online portion provides a comprehensive preparation for the PMP certification exam including exam-taking tips, 12 comprehensive module quizzes, five process group tests, and two full-length, 200-question practice exams covering the PMBOK Guide areas of knowledge, which will provide a report to help you determine your areas of weakness. The two workshops will bring professional expertise to the course to enhance the learning experience. After successful completion of the online course, you will Wedding and Event Planning Certification Become a recognized Professional Certified Wedding and Event Planner. This 40-hour course includes planning, coordinating and directing social events and weddings as well as a study of business structure, documentation information, contracts, how to work with vendors, marketing and how to work with prospective brides and grooms. The GULC outdoor garden space is an official National Wildlife Federation (NWF) certified wildlife habitat and United States Humane Society (HSUS) urban wildlife sanctuary. Most of the plants found at GULC garden are native and serve as either host or nectar plants for very important adult butterflies such as the Atala butterfly, our State butterfly zebra longwing and the beautiful Monarch butterfly. Many of our nectar plants also attract pollinators such as bees, hummingbirds and moths. We have also an organic vegetable garden, and herb garden, seeding house, compost area and native Florida ecosystems represented hardwood hammock, pine rockland, wetlands and native Florida grasses area.
