3 Language requirements for postsecondary programs all instruction at the college is in english. international applicants are expected to be proficient in the english language skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking to meet the demands of the program. Applicants whose first language is not English are expected to provide proof of completion of any of the following for admission: 1. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) Overall score of 80. Post Graduate and Health Science programs require 83 overall (Internet Based Test). 2. International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Overall score of 6.0, with no band less than 5.5. Post Graduate and Health Science programs require 6.5 overall. 3. 6 international Services: we can help you with... international STUdenT ServiCeS located in THE SQuARE (C102) is a multi-disciplined department dedicated to the support and guidance of international students attending Mohawk College. The department s role is to ensure that the international students are supported from the time they arrive through to their graduation. ACCOMMOdATiOnS there are different housing options available to students. homestay The Homestay program allows our international visa students a chance to live with a Canadian family. C&M Homestay personally interviews all host families to make sure that you will be in a warm and comfortable family environment. This allows students to live independently and still be within walking distance to the college. For more information visit the website: AirpOrT pick Up International Student Services can arrange personal airport reception upon your arrival to Toronto s Pearson International Airport. This service includes: reception, assistance with your luggage, transportation to your accommodation. the cost for this service is $125 one way. For more information on this service, please contact HeALTH insurance And MediCAL ServiCeS Health insurance for international students is mandatory and provided through Mohawk College s insurance provider, Guard.me. Medical care services are readily available to all Mohawk College students. The Mohawk College Health Clinic is located at the Fennell Campus, Room C109. The remainder of the payment is due by the deadline listed on the Letter of Acceptance. Full payment is required by the deadline date to guarantee a seat in the program and to select a timetable when registration opens.
