4 Occupational Programs Occupational Programs Occupational degree programs are designed to get you a good job. If you have your sights set on a specific career, an occupational program may be just the right pathway to help you achieve your goals. The Associate of Applied Science Degree (AAS) Designed to prepare graduates for a new career or job advancement after two years of study, AAS degrees may transfer in whole or in part to colleges and universities. Certificate of Completion (CCL) Certificate education provides the skills necessary for success in a chosen occupation. Fewer credits are required than associate degree programs and can be completed in less time. 5 TRANSFER PROGRAMS University Transfer At SCC you can earn an associate degree and then transfer to a university to complete your bachelor s degree. Most fields of study have a transfer pathway that identifies the courses you will need and that can transfer easily. SCC and the Maricopa Community Colleges have more than 40 transfer agreements with colleges and universities across the U.S. Some in-state partnerships also offer cost savings. All students should meet with an advisor to review program requirements and transfer options. Associate in Arts, Business, Elementary Education, Fine Arts (Art, Dance and Theatre), Science and Transfer Partnership SCC offers a variety of different degrees for students who plan to study in any of these areas.
