In January 2001, NDC began admitting men at the college and added new degrees and athletic programs, with both strategies contributing to unprecedented growth in enrollments. 3 Bachelor of science in Nursing Online RN to BSN The Registered Nurse (RN) to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) online degree program provides the ideal educational opportunity for registered nurses who want to advance their education by earning a BSN in a convenient and flexible format. A nursing diploma or an Associate of Science degree with a major in nursing are required for enrollment. The nursing degree program at Notre Dame College (NDC) is based on a core body of knowledge that includes both the science and art of the nursing discipline. The liberal arts approach to NDC s curriculum is fundamental to the development of well-rounded professionals and serves as an effective framework for the ability to solve complex problems and address the health needs of society. Additionally, the BSN degree is delivered ENTIRELY ONLINE. Practicum hours required are minimal and may be completed by students at their own location of choice. There is no on-campus requirement for courses or practicum hours. However, you can always visit our beautiful campus in South Euclid, OH, talk to our faculty and meet other students, if you so desire. 5 Admissions How to apply Admission Requirements The Admission Committee of the Notre Dame College Division of Nursing is looking for Registered Nurses who are serious about advancing their nursing careers to the next educational and professional level. Candidates who meet or exceed the following requirements will be considered for the RN-BSN program: Admission to Notre Dame College Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing - program must be accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher Verification of an active RN license in the state of residence Completion of prerequisite and support courses with a grade of C or higher, must be completed prior to graduation from the RN to BSN program. 6 Tuition Financial Aid Tuition Current tuition for RN to BSN online program at Notre Dame College is $490 per credit hour. Ask your enrollment counselor about special tuition pricing arranged between NDC and some health care providing institutions. Payment Procedures Payments can be made in person, by mail or electronically. A payment plan is available through NDC s CashNet. CashNet accepts electronic payment from any US checking or savings account. Debit cards, American Express, Discover, and MasterCard are also accepted for a 2.75% fee. Electronic checks incur no fee. Payment arrangements must be made prior to the start of each term. Ask your enrollment counselor about your employer s deferred payment options based on their tuition reimbursement policy. Financial Aid We understand that a college education is an investment in your future and we will provide you with information to help you accomplish this goal. We focus on assisting qualified students find options that will allow them to finance their college education. Start the process of determining your eligibility for financial assistance by taking these two steps: 1. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Employer Reimbursement Many students who are employed full-time receive tuition reimbursement from their employer. The benefits vary from one company to another. It is the student s responsibility to inquire about his/her company s benefit policy. For your convenience, we offer a student training presentation which provides instructions about taking an online course. The presentation is available upon request. 2) How will I access my online course? Enrolled students will receive a login ID and password. Upon entering the ID and Password in the login window, students will be able to go to their online class, view course information or access their academic records. 3) Will I have face-to-face meetings with my professor? Online courses are delivered entirely through the Internet. However, students can visit the campus and meet with professors during office hours if desired. 4) Will I have access to library resources? Our library resources and services are available to all faculty and students wherever the programs or courses are located and however they are delivered. 5) How do I get help if I cannot access my online course? Notre Dame College provides all students with a 24/7 Help Center. Contact information for the HelpDesk will be provided upon enrollment.
