2 Management Approach PRESALES Our project management approach is based on the key understanding that custom elearning and mlearning development is an iterative process. Creating effective learning solutions involves multiple design, development, and review cycles. The process at Upside Learning leverages 9+ years of experience in developing a wide variety of solutions, together with our clients' expertise and SME knowledge. INITIATION The Process DESIGN Our project development process is based on ADDIE and includes components of the iterative development model. It helps us deliver quality output consistently, within time and budgetary constraints. DEVELOPMENT PROJECT CLOSURE

3 Presales This is where we first interact with you to understand your requirements and suggest solutions to meet them. We ask a lot of questions at this stage, to accurately scope the project. Once we identify the approach or approaches that are best suited to fulfill your learning needs, we lay them out in a proposal, with accompanying pricing options. You select the one you want, and we're all set to begin the project. Initiation At this stage, we take a more in-depth look at your final inputs and content, and define a broad structure and strategy for the learning solution. We ask you even more questions than we did during presales, and interact with your SMEs and you in-person, in calls, and via mails. We define the roadmap for the project, so we all know where we're going, and create a detailed project scope document that goes on to be the base for all future development on the project. Design Now, we select a content sample and create a working model a prototype, to give you an idea of what the learning solution will be like. You tell us what you like and don't like about it. We change it. Until you approve it. We create detailed instructional design documents and storyboards, to give you a screen-by-screen account of what will be seen, read, and said. We finalise all the project documentation so we can ensure the rest of the project turns out just like the approved prototype. Development Here, we bring the storyboard to life. We create graphics and animations, stories and games, activities and assessments, and put them all together into a package for you. You review it. You give us your feedback. We implement it. You review the revised version. You give us your feedback. We implement it. Until you're satisfied. Closure Here's where we deliver the final version, and you sign it off. That done, we have a closure meeting, in which you're welcome to join, to discuss the goods and not so goods of the project. After all, that's how we keep learning and improving!

4 Key Elements The key elements of our development processes are: l Complete clarity to begin with The presales, initiation, and design phases of projects help us get an elaborate understanding of the requirements of the project, the approaches and specifications, and the project plans with which we need to align. l Build small & review often In line with the AGILE development philosophy, we iterate our prototypes often. We attempt to develop prototypes that match instructional, visual, and functional expectations, reasonably early in the development lifecycle. l Template-based development Wherever possible we use templates during the development phases. This ensures fewer errors, and faster & cost-effective development. l Consistency throughout On longer projects, it is common to produce sparkling prototypes only to fizzle out on the quality during the actual development cycle. Our internal review teams ensure that the output is consistent and in line with the functional and design values of the prototypes. l QA and user testing We typically have two rounds of design, functional, and technical reviews of the development cycle output. We do ensure extensive user testing to ensure no gaps remain in the output that may detract from the learning experience. 5 The Management System Our online project management system is called Lighthouse and is a branded BaseCamp implementation. It is used for all communications on our projects and ensures that the interaction takes place on common grounds and is documented for easy reference at all time. This allows us to be transparent in our planning and lets both teams track any slippages or issues in the project through the system. All deliverables are also made available through the system, so that all the related project files and documents are in a single location.
