3 Wirsbo s Crosslinked Polyethylene (PEX-a Tubing) When it comes right down to it, your reputation may very well depend upon the tubing you choose. It's difficult to access once the installation is done, so tubing quality is critical. Wirsbo's Engel-method process is a superior form of crosslinking that produces a long, uniform molecular chain. The resulting PEX is extremely durable and able to withstand a wide range of pressures and temperatures.
