8 In AT Skog we made a project in 07: What products are the winning forest products 2010 to 2020? It is a difficult question! Here is some of our best estimats: Sawlogs and wooden building materials will be among the winners Traditonally pulp and paper products will be loosers in the market But we need a strong pulp and paper industri for many years Different kind of bioenergi will be winners in years to come: Heating plants Wood to super clean silisium (solar quality) Animal litter Pellets/chips to coal utilities and heating plants Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS with Bio) We hope to see great volumes liquid fuels based on wood, but it take years

KWh i årsleveranse, Biokjel på 850 KW, elkjel på 450 KW i spiss/reserve. Egenkapital 3,2 mill kr Leverer grunnlast, KW spiss og reserve. 5 kunder Fjernvarmeledninger i Eigersund Bio Dalane AS (Entreprenør RSM)

16 Elkem Solar plant New factory built from greenfield in Kristiansand, Norway 2007/08 Elkem Solar Silicon (ESS) is positioned in the polysilicon quality segment: Stable, low levels of impurities Phosphorus < 1.0 ppmw Boron < 0.4 ppmw They need clean chips in the melting process

17 Elkem are asking for: Super clean wood chips to the silisium prosess After having investigated wood from the Nordic and Baltic countries, they ask for: Chips made from pine logs in our area The logs has to be debarked The cips should be millimeter long Chips shape like a 20 sigarett box tons/year
