During the digi sa on process text can also be extracted using Op cal Character Recogni on or Intelligent Character Recogni on. Indexing can also be performed. Indexing is the data entry capture of unique iden fying informa on. Prepara on is an essen al element to any successful document scanning project. The removal of staples, paper clips and bands is me culously performed before scanning can proceed. On average prepara on of documents can take up to two thirds of the me taken to complete a project.
