3 General Provisions WTF Open G2 Sanctioned Tournament for all PanAm Region MNAs. Eligibility 1. Holder of the nationality of the participating team. 2. One recommended by the WTF Member National Association. 4. Holder of the WTF Global Athlete License (GAL) Competition Rules Ages and Divisions System of competition WTF Competition Rules. In force as of May 11, Recognized Divisions: 1. Cadets years 2. Junior years 3. Senior +17 years 4. Color Belts All ages Single elimination tournament system. The loser to the final will be 2 nd place. Losers to semifinals will be classified as 1st placed athlete in the semi-final shall be classified as 3rd place. 4 Special Awards Special Awards will be given as follows; 2 Best Gyoroogi Referee M&F 1 Best Poomsae Referee 2 Best Coach Team M&F 2 Best Team in Competition M&F 2 Best Athletes M&F Qualification Coaches The minimum qualification requirements for coaches are as follows: All coaches must be at least 18 years of age. All Coaches / Trainers must be holders of the PATU Coach Certificate (granted by participation in a PATU Coach Seminar). Coaches / Trainers that do not have the PATU Coach License shall pay a $ (USD) fine at the registration desk. Poomsae and Gyoroogi PATU Seminar will be held on June 7th Dress Code Coaches Sport entry Deadline During all the competition all coaches are obliged to wear a formal suit. Coaches that do not follow the dress code cannot be entered into the field of play during finals and semifinals. Competitors entries will be accepted through the WTF online registration system and registration is only possible with a valid WTF Global License. The deadline to register athletes for participation at the Panamerican Open Taekwondo Championships and to send in all relevant forms is set at, May 31 st, 2016, 21:00hrs. Mexico C. Local Time

5 Protector & Scoring System Recognized brands At the PanAm Open Tournament DAEDO is being used as PSS. The Organizing Committee will provide DAEDO trunk protector. Each athlete has to bring his own DAEDO sensor socks and headgear. Participating contestants are required to wear WTF recognized doboks and WTF-recognized protective equipment. The latest version of WTF-recognized manufacturers list is available at the website of WTF: Entry fee All airfares, accommodation and board must be covered for each contestant or Member National Association. The entry fee of USD per registered athlete and USD per coach shall be paid after registration is done and completed in USD no later than the 9 th of June, All entry fees shall be transferred to the following bank account; Please note that NO cash payment will be received at the Registration Desk

Coaches 0"USD May"7,"2016. *Complete"Team"Registration"Required Official Uniform and Equipment All contestants are required to use white taekwondo uniform (dobok) with V neck. Patches, embroidery, logos, team names, countries, athletes names and strikes are allowed. No tape is allowed in part of the uniform. All athletes must use recognized protection equipment, as well as recognized headgears (Hong in red and Chung in blue), oral protector, groin guard, forearm shin and in-step protectors by the time of entering the competition area. Groin guard, forearm and shin protections must be inside of the Taekwondo uniform. It is prohibited any extra object on the head additional to the headgear. Any religious article must be prior approved and must be used under the headgear, inside the dobok and must not cause any type of obstruction or lack of visibility for the opponent.

7 Indemnities It is the responsibility of each Member National Association to ensure that their athletes and team officials have filled out the indemnification forms correctly and have duly signed them, thereby indemnifying WTF, PATU, the Organizing Committee and all other officials and athletes from any claims of injuries, losses or otherwise arising in the course of participation at the Pan-American Open or any activities linked therewith. It is the responsibility of each Member National Association to ensure and guarantee that sufficient insurance coverage has been arranged for all athletes, team officials and other participants. Without sufficient insurance coverage, national teams will not be allowed to compete. Please fill out the Personal Indemnity Forms and return them to the Organization Committee before June 9th, Each participant (athletes, team officials, etc.) has to fill out the indemnification form. International Referees The WTF will appoint total thirty (30) International Referees from outside the PATU territory. The following conditions shall apply: International Referees are required to pay for their own round-trip airfares to Queretaro, M xico. The Organizing Committee shall pay for the expenses for five (5) nights stay of room and board. Check-in: June 8th / Check-out: June 13th The Organizing Committee shall pay a per diem of US$100 to the selected International Referees for competition period (total 3 days; US$300 per referee).

8 Local Transportation Organizing Committee will not provide local transportation for the participating teams, each team is responsible of their own accurate transportation. Organizing Committee will only provide this service to Referees, VIPs, and PATU Officials. Head of Team Meeting Draw of lots Weigh-in The Head of Team meeting shall be conducted by PATU officials on Wednesday June 9th, 2016 at 18:00 hrs. Exact location shall be communicated forthwith. All athletes will be seeded according to the WTF Olympic Ranking as per June 01, The draw sheets and brackets will be available one (1) day before the start of the competition of the respective weight category. The weigh-in of the athletes takes place one (1) day prior to the start of the respective weight category they compete in. During the weigh-in, the male athlete shall wear underpants and the female athlete shall wear underpants and brassiere. However, the athlete may weigh in nude if he/she wishes to do so. Each athlete shall have one (1) attempt to pass the weigh in. However, one (1) extra attempt is allowed for those athletes who did not qualify the first time. This extra attempt shall be done within the time limit of the official weigh-in. Accommodation Please refer to our Accommodation Guide

9 Medical Services Organizing Committee will only provide medical services for emergencies during competition if any injury is suffered. Contestants are responsible for further injury and hospitalization expenses. Organizing Committee recommends to all contestants to have an updated medical insurance and have all the information available at any time. Visa The Organizing Committee can provide recommendation letters for visa applications. However, MNA s are required to check the Mexican entry visa application waiting times in their own countries and submit requests for recommendation letters (ri@mextkd.org) to the Organizing Committee if necessary. The Organizing Committee cannot guarantee entry into Mexico and can only offer assistance. It is the responsibility of each athlete and MNA to apply for and secure the correct entry visa for Mexico.
