San Luis Potosí - Aguascalientes, Ciudad Deportiva, Aguascalientes September 12th to 14th PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS: 1.VALID PASSPORT OF THE COUNTRY REPRESENTED 2.WTF NATIONAL FEDERATION MEMBER RECOMMENDATION 3.CURRENT KUKKIWON POOM or DAN CERTIFICATE 4.CURRENT WTF GLOBAL ATHLETE LICENSE (GAL) AFFILIATES: All participants must hold a passport of the country they will represent. They must also present a letter of endorsement from their WTF recognized National Federation. COMPETITION REGULATIONS The competition regulations will be based on those established by WTF and PATU AGE RANGES 1. Cadets: Junior: Senior: Born in 1996 or before SPORT EQUIPMENT The Organizing Committee will provide the electronic Dobok system for all participating athletes; however, all athletes must bring their own electronic footgear for combats. The KP&P system will be used All participating athletes must bring their own: headgear, gloves, protective arm/foot gear, shin guards, and mouth guards OFFICIAL UNIFORM (DOBOK) All participating athletes must wear a PATU/WTF competition standard white Dobok with a V-neck collar in good condition. Black belts must wear a dobok with a black collar. Patches, needlework, logos, team names, countries names, athlete s names and stripes will be allowed on uniforms. No tape is allowed in any part of the uniform. PROTECTIVE GEAR All participating athletes must wear authorized protective gear, including headgear (red for Hong and blue for Chung), groin, shin and mouth guards, hand and foot gear, etc. before entering the competition area. Protective gear for groin, leg and arm areas must be worn underneath the uniform. Only protective headgear will be permitted to be worn on the head, unless otherwise approved. Religious or cultural items will have to be approved by the technical committee prior to competition. Articles must be worn under the headgear and dobok and cannot be of threat to the opponent. During weigh-in, male athletes can wear underwear and female athletes can wear underwear and a bra. Athletes can undergo their weigh-in naked, if preferred. GROUND TRANSPORTATION The Organizing Committee can provide ground transportation from the Aguascalientes International Airport to official tournament host hotels for a $10 USD per person fee. For further information please refer to the accommodation and transport guide. Transportation from any other airport will have to be arranged by the participant. The Organizing Committee will provide ground transportation from official tournament host hotels to the Olympic Stadium on an established schedule. The local organizing committee will not provide transportation from any other hotels. MEDICAL SERVICES The organizing committee will only provide emergency medical services in the event of injury All participants are responsible for any costs related to injuries or hospital stays. The OC recommends that athletes have their health insurance information available on site. I also take into consideration the fact that if by any reason I consider that the conditions of the competition are unsafe, I will immediately stop my participation. I also hereby acknowledge the following: 1)Physical activities involve risks, and I find the possibility of suffering a serious injury; including permanent disability, paralysis and death. 2)The risks and dangers that may be caused by my own actions or inactions, the actions or inactions of other participants and / or the negligence of the officers or the organizing committee. 3)Other risks and social and economic losses not known by me or not foreseeable by me at this time.
