CLUB CLOSED September 2 nd, 5 th and 21 st October 3 rd & 12 th November 8 th, 21 st 25 th Indian Valley Boys & Girls Club Great futures start here Who: All Club Members, Families, and Community Leaders When: Thursday, October 20, 2016 Time: 6:00 pm Join us for a night to celebrate our children and the safe place that the Indian Valley Boys & Girls Club provides after school lets out for the day! We ll gather in the gym for a FREE pasta and salad dinner and highlight the fun times shared at the Club! Community Night at the Movies Who: All Club Members, their families, and members of the community When: September 23, 2016 Time: 7:00 pm Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy a movie under the stars at IVBGC! We ll project a film on the wall behind the Club and everyone is invited to join us! Snacks will be available for purchase. The movie shown will be decided by Club members prior to the event and will be posted on our Facebook page! Halloween Spooktacular Who: All Club Members, their families, and members of the community When: Friday, October 28, 2016 Time: 6:00-7:30 pm The Club will be transformed into a scary, spooktacular haunted house as everyone is invited to trick-or-treat through our Club in their costumes and visit each homework room for sweet treats! Beware of goblins and ghosts! The party will continue in our gym with fun games, activities, and snacks for everyone to enjoy! Our Mission: To inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.

2 Special Events Turkey Fowl Shot Competition Who: All Club Members When: Friday, November 18, 2016 Time: 4:00 pm All members will have the opportunity to compete in our annual Turkey Fowl Shot competition which will put your basketball skills to the test! Winners for each age group will receive a frozen turkey just in time for Thanksgiving! Age groups are 6-8, 9-10, 11-13, and 14 & up. EMC Back to School Bash Who: All EMC families! When: Friday, September 16, 2016 Time: TBA The Indian Valley Boys & Girls Club welcomes all EMC families to their Back to School Bash held at the Club. EMC students and families will have access to our gyms and our games rooms for a night of fun activities! As always, we will host a parent/child dodgeball game in our turf gym! All EMC visitors who are not current 2016 Club members will require a parent signed guest permission slip. Permission slips can be found on our website at We hope to see all EMC families at the Club! Night Skate Who: All Club Members (must fill out a parent signed Skate Park waiver to participate if not a 2016 Skate Park member) When: Friday, November 4, 2016 Time: 6-7:45 pm for 2016 IVBGC Skate Park Members; $5 for non-skate park members We ll end another amazing season of skating with our annual night skate event! Lighting will be provided to allow members to skate safely under the stars. S mores, hot dogs, and hot chocolate will be provided for everyone to enjoy. Who: 4 th, 5 th, and 6 th Graders When: Friday, September 30, 2016 Time: 7-9 pm Cost: $5 Fall Festival Dance Party Get your friends and get ready to rock! We ll dance the night away to the most popular songs! Weather permitting, this dance will be held in the skate park under the stars! If it rains, the festivities will be moved indoors. The night will include snacks, games, and of course, dancing! Non-members are invited to join us with a parent signed guest permission slip. Permission slips can be found at

3 Weekly Programs Let s Get Artsy When: Thursdays, starting September 22 (No program October 20) to November 10 Let s get creative and artsy! Members will work each week on fun projects. Members will paint, draw, and create amazing artwork to share! Kid Chefs When: Wednesdays, starting September 28 (No program October 12 & November 23) to November 30 It s time to get in the kitchen and play with our food! Members will become little chefs as they learn the ins and out of cooking! They ll explore cooking appetizers, main courses and desserts with each week being deliciously fun! Keystone Who: Boys & Girls ages 12 & up When: Mondays, starting September 19 (No program October 3) to November 14th Time: 5-6 pm Are you are interested in becoming a leader in our Club and within your neighborhood all while playing creative, fun games? Do you want to hang with your friends and be part of exciting projects? Keystone Club is all that and more! Members will bond each week as they learn to take on the world with a sense of leadership and responsibility! Torch Who: Boys & Girls ages 9 to 11 When: Mondays, starting September 19 to November 14th (No program October 3) Want to spend time building friendships, having fun and being an important part of the Indian Valley Boys & Girls Club? Join Torch Club! This program, for members 9-11 years old, will give you a sense of belonging, a sense of community, and will teach you leadership skills. Each week Torch Club members will hang out, play games, and plan fun projects!

4 Athletics & Fitness Just Dance Who: Boys & Girls ages 9 to 12 When: Tuesdays, starting September 20 (No program November 8) to November 15 Dance the fall away at IVBGC! Each week members will learn the basic steps to different styles of dance that will be combined to create a fun, choreographed group dance! Members will perform for the Club at the end of the program to show off what they learned! Skate Club Who: Boys & Girls ages 8 & up When: Fridays, starting September 23 (No program October 28) to November 11 Time: 5-6 pm Take your skating to the next level by being part of Skate Club! During the weekly one hour session, skaters will receive special instruction on skills and tricks. Indian Valley Fall Indoor Soccer Who: Boys & Girls ages 6 to 12 When: 6 to 8 year olds: Wednesday, starting September 28 (No games October 12 & November 23) to November 30 9 to 12 year olds: Thursdays, starting September 22 (No games October 20) to November 10 Time: 6-7:30 pm Cost: $20 The Indian Valley Football Club invites 6 to 12 year olds to join the fun of our intramural soccer league! Participants will be divided into teams based upon signups. Each week members will work on soccer skills before taking part in a fun, but competitive, game! Participants will receive an IVBGC Football Club t-shirt.

5 Athletics & Fitness Wiffle Ball League Who: Boys & Girls ages 9 to 14 When: 9 to 11 year olds: Mondays, starting September 19 (No games October 3) to November to 14 year olds: Tuesdays, starting September 20 (No games November 8) to November 15 Time: 6-7:30 pm Cost: $20 Batter up! Get ready to run the bases in our fun, fall wiffle ball league! Weather permitting; games will be played outside with the turf gym serving as a backup if needed. If signups permit, players will be assigned a team that will play on a rotating schedule. If signups are not sufficient for teams, pickup style games will be played each week. All members will receive a t-shirt. The Great Outdoors Who: Boys & Girls ages 8 to 12 When: Wednesdays, starting September 28 (No program October 12 & November 23) to November 30 Get ready to explore the great outdoors at the Club! We ll learn to cook dinner on a buddy burner and try our hand at knot tying. Members will practice using a compass and learn how to safely build a fire. We ll practice pitching a tent and rolling our sleeping bags so members are ready to explore the outdoors! Gymapalooza! When: Mondays, starting September 19 (No program October 3) to November 14 This program is about the ultimate gym time! Get ready to sweat and have fun! Each week members will play fun group games and try out new sports.
