2 what now? So 2011 has come to an end. It was another good year for IKM with strong growth in turnover and good growth in our earnings. It s especially satisfying that we as an organisation still manage both! It is a goal for IKM to grow and we have managed to meet this objective also this year! Despite the financial crisis, Euro crisis and financial turmoil in general IKM has actually grown by almost 50 percent in the last three years. Excellent! 2011 began with some uncertainty for several of our companies, but during the second quarter the backlog increased considerably in most of our companies and we experienced shortage of both personnel and equipment. This lasted for the rest of 2011 and has given us a very good start to It resulted in a record turnover of NOK 3.3 billion for the IKM group. With an EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes and depreciation) of NOK 340 million. The objective for 2012 is to achieve an even better performance! HSE Policy Positive development Zero injuries is our overall objective. We shall instill trust and confidence among our customers and employees. We shall follow acts and regulations, including ethic code of conduct. HSE is the most important internal work area. No operation has priority over safety. HSE is a line responsibility in the entire organisation. Everyone is responsible for their own safety and the safety of others. We shall prevent pollution and reduce negative environmental impact. We shall reduce the amount of waste and optimise the use of resources. What was especially satisfying in 2011 I would like to mention the following: That IKM Haaland AS made money after the summer (they lost NOK 51 million the previous year). The development in IKM Subsea AS. This company has had a very positive trend all year and achieved an annual profit of approx. NOK 5 million. The increased interaction between the IKM companies. This is something we have focused on in recent years and are now beginning to see the results. Very satisfying! And last and most satisfying: our sick leave trend. This will end up at approx. 3.7 percent for Far below the national average and also well below the 5 percent average for the industry as a whole. We take this as a sign of good job satisfaction and good working conditions for all our employees! Finally I would like to remind everyone that also 2012 poses major challenges. The oil price is high, there is still a lot of oil and gas in the North Sea and the activity is high. This again gives us a unique possibility to develop IKM further and we will grasp that opportunity. Just like we have done before! We will achieve this through continuous improvement of all processes and systems established in each organisation. Together with our clients and suppliers we shall follow statutory regulations and continually improve our procedures and routines in environmental management. We believe that social commitment will result in savings for our clients, and new business possibilities for the IKM Group. Each IKM company shall establish its own objectives in order to live up to the IKM Group s overall policy.
