2 The MSC. 1/Circ Clock is Ticking An Introduction to Survival Craft Inspectorate Guidelines for evaluation and replacement of lifeboat release and retrieval systems. At the IMO MSC89 in May 2011, it was decided to implement new requirements for lifeboats with on-load release hooks - Lifeboat Release and Retrieval Systems (LRRS). 3 Release and Retrieval Systems Safelaunch was designed, developed and manufactured by Survival Craft Inspectorate to provide a safe and easy way of launching and retrieving conventional davit launched lifeboats and rescue boats. The award winning, (IMO) compliant Safelaunch and RocLoc release and retrieval systems feature visual indicators, Integrated Fall Prevention Device (FPD) and more. Safelaunch and RocLoc have been designed so they can easily be retrofitted to any lifeboat or rescue boat.
