1 Adana Amateur Photographers Society (AFAD) 3rd International Photography Contest CONDITIONS of ENTRY: The contest is welcome to all amateur and professional photographers all over the world, apart from the Organization Committee, Jury and the TFSF representative. Participants must own the copyrights of the images they send and they are deemed to have confirmed such copyrights once they send their images. Contestants agree to have their awarded or accepted images presented in exhibitions and catalogs by the Adana Amateur Photographers Society (AFAD). If it is observed that the participant has sent a modified photograph which is proven not belonging to him/her, stolen from other photographers, the participant will be banned to enter any TFSF/PAFT patronaged Salon for a period of 1 (one) year and if a second violation of rules by same participant who has been banned by TFSF/PAFT, the participant will be banned for a life time period for any entry to TFSF/PAFT patronaged Salons and FIAP will be informed about this as TFSF/PAFT Salon Rules. Participants who were already banned from TFSF/PAFT Salons previously and FIAP Red List are not allowed to have an entry to this Salon. Awards and acceptances will be taken back from the participants who violate the rules and the places will not be filled with other participants. If necessary, Amateur Photographers Society (AFAD) will request original version of the photographs from the participant. All participants have to get their result by ; also those who did not have any acceptances. With the sole act of submitting his/her images or files to a salon under FIAP Patronage, the entrant accepts without exception and with no objection that the submitted images can be investigated by FIAP to establish if these obey to FIAP regulations and definitions even if the entrant is not a member of FIAP; that FIAP will use any means at its disposal for this undertaking; that any refusal to cooperate with FIAP or any refusal to submit the original files as captured by the camera, or failure to provide sufficient evidence, will be sanctioned by FIAP and that in case of sanctions following the non compliance with FIAP regulations, the name of the entrant will be released in any form useful to inform the breaches of the rules. It is recommended to leave the EXIF data in the submitted files intact in order to ease eventual investigations. Right of Publishing and Copyright (Use) A copy of the photographs which are awarded and exhibited will be kept in the archive of Adana Amateur Photographers Society (AFAD). When it is required, the photographs will be able to use with the aim of a presentation (calendar, agenda, post card etc.) by remarking the name of the photograph owner. Additional copyright price will not be paid. Using rights of photographs will belong to owner and AFAD. All of the photographs sent must be taken by the competitor. All legal responsibilities of copyright violations that may occur belong to the participant in case the images of someone else are used as same or partially. It is considered that the people appearing the photographs sent to the contest allow to be 1 / 6

2 taken their photos and sent to a competition, and to be published the photographs on the internet and other organs of printed publications. Disagreements that may arise from the said use will be under the full responsibility of competitor. The awarded photographs will be published at web site of TFSF and - and also at our web site (Adana Amateur Photographers Society (AFAD) - -) and take a part in the pages of Almanac-2015 which is a publication of TFSF. The participants shall be deemed to have accepted exactly all terms of conditions. SECTIONS : Contest has 4 section including print and digital, 1- Print>P (Open) 2- Open Color > OC 3- Open Monochrome > OM 4- Digital Experimental > DE Definitions: Monochrome: A black and White photograph, having various tones of grey from the very dark (Black) to the very clear (White) is a monochrome photograph, with the various shades of grey. A Black and White work toned entirely in a single colour will remain a monochrome ork able to stand in the Black and White category. A Black and White work modified by a partial toning or by the addition one colour becomes a colour work (Polychrome) to stand in the category.. ENTRY FEE: General: Entry fee is mandatory for all participant. From Turkey; First section will be 30 TL and every additional section will be 10 TL(for all sections 60TL) All Others; First section will be 15 Euro / 20 USD and every additional section will be 5 Euro / USD (for all sections 30 Euro / 35 USD) Print Participants who joins the print section will send their prints via postal service etc. with its long edge maximum 30 cm. If you want your prints to be returned, in addition to the entry fees, MUST be paid 20 Euro per package. The application fee will be paid through PayPal. PAYPAL: lcalik@hotmail.com You can participate the contest as a group. If the group including 10 or more participant, 10% percent discount will be applied. There will be 4 section in the contest and maximum 4 photographs are allowed in each section In case payment is done by PayPal the participant must indicate his / her name and surname to make sure that they received proper credit at their names. Images, which there is no paypal credit received for them, they may not be taken into consideration for evaluation of the jury. Images for which the application fee is not paid will not be evaluated. 2 / 6

3 Title of the Works and Submission: Print : You must send your prints via postal services with its long edge maximum 30 cm. to the address below. There cannot be frames or margins on the photographs. You must write your name, surname, address, titles of the photos with order 1/4, 2/4 on the back side of the prints. The information written on the prints and application form must be matched. ** For Digital Catalog, Print photographs must also be uploaded Online via web online submission. Since the contest is organized for the online photograph system, no alternative submission ( , shipping, handing etc.) will not be accepted. Online submission of the contest photographs will be carried out only by using the below websites and by following the membership and the photograph submission procedures. Following the steps through official website or directly from: (Turkish) > (English) > Registration is necessary in order to upload photographs on the given page. Activation of the account can be done by clicking the activation link sent to your address after your registration. Those who already have an account can use their old usernames and passwords. Size of the photographs and their titles must be determined beforehand and be kept ready to be loaded on the web page in a single session. There cannot be frames or margins on the photographs. No information regarding the identity of the participant such as name, signature, logo, date, etc., must take place on the photographs. The photographs must be saved in jpg/jpeg format, at dpi resolution, in 7-12 compression quality and with its long edge maximum 3200 pixels. Also, the overall file space must be no less than 2 Mb and no more than 4 Mb. The title names of each photograph file must be max. 31 letters. Ç, Ğ, İ, Ö, Ş, Ü, ç, ı, ğ, ö, ş, ü characters cannot be used in the title. English letters and underscore ( _ ) can be used. All letters, except the ones in country code and section, must be in lower case. Naming the Files: Country code must be written in the first two characters of the file ( TR for Turkey). 4 After that the name of photograph owner must be written in maximum 5 characters. (Example: omery or oeril or erily for Ömer Eril Yılmaz etc.) Next character must be the initial of section: (Print >P, Open Color > OC, Open Monochrome > OM, Digital Experimental > DE,). The ordinal of photograph must be written with numbers (From 1 to 4) and after that an underscore must be added ( _ ). Name of the photograph after the underscore must be written in such a way that the total number of the characters not to exceed. Examples: TRomeryP1_reflection for the Print category photograph no 1 named Reflection or TRomeryDE1_square for the Experimental category photograph no 1 named Square of Ömer Eril Yılmaz etc. In the steps of registration on internet or participation to the contest, in case there are errors originating from the user or system, if you contact from onlineyarismalar@tfsf.org.tr website and give information, the problem will be solved in a short time and the participant will be informed. This address will only be used for uploading problems; uploading photograph to this website will not mean that you have applied to the contest and participation will not be accepted.
