Otherwise, MESKİ will accept no responsibility regarding any delay or problem with the money transfer. SECTIONS: The Salon will have 2 sections. A - Water and Life (Color / Black and White) B - Creative Water and Life (Color / Black and White)

2 DESCRIPTIONS OF SECTIONS: A- WATER AND LIFE: (COLOR/B&W) GENERAL DIRECTORATE OF WATER AND SEWERAGE ADMINISTRATION (MESKİ) decided to announce an international photographic contest, in order to draw the attention to the importance of water, at every course of life and to help leaving a habitable world to the next generations. The contest, with the technical and artistic assistance of Mersin Photographic Society (MFD), aims to increase the consciousness of the international society; - to keep the consumable water resources clean - to consume water much more effectively - to protect water resources on earth The aim of this contest is to have the the best photographs on the above mentioned consciousness points, produced and shared B- CREATIVE - WATER AND LIFE (COLOR/B&W) : GENERAL DIRECTORATE OF WATER AND SEWERAGE ADMINISTRATION (MESKİ) s aims listed at Section 1st are applicable at this Section as well. Allowing the entrants to use their imaginations and creativeness to share their creative photographs; - to keep the consumable water resources clean - to consume water much more effectively - to protect water resources on earth Creative Photography is defined as altered reality. The original image must originate as photographs made by the participants on photographic emulsion or acquired with a digital camera. ENTRY CONDITIONS: Participants may download their photographs and realize payments electronically online, by connecting to any of the below given salon web sites: or The Salon is open to all photographers worldwide, amateurs and professionals, except members of the Exhibition Committee and members of the Jury. Participants are kindly requested to start downloading their photos online, within the period indicated at the Timetable. (Which is earliest by Dec. 1st.2013 and not later than Feb. 5th. 2014) Also entrants participated at the 1st. National MESKİ Photographic Contest arranged last year, are not allowed to re-participate with same photographs awarded prizes, mentions and / or exhibitions. Such photographs will be eliminated automatically. For Section A (Water and Life); images totally created by using computer software or partially altered images without any photographic content will be disqualified.

3 For Section B (Creative Water and Life); images totally created by using computer software or partially altered photographic images will be accepted. Participants accept that their photographs can be used at MESKİ s exhibitions and publications. Entrants must own copyright of all submitted images. By submitting an entry, the participant certifies the work as his own. In case any violation observed, regarding conditions of entry described above, the participant loses his awards, titles and other benefits. TFSF and FIAP will be informed in case such a violation occurs. If it is observed that the participant has sent a modified photograph which is proven not belonging to him/her, stolen from other photographers, the participant will be banned to enter any TFSF patronaged Salon for a period of one (1) year. As per TFSF Salon Rules, participants who were already banned from TFSF Salons previously, within one year period are not allowed to have an entry to this Salon. If a second violation of rules by same participant, who has been banned by TFSF, is recorded, the participant will be banned for a life time period for any entry to TFSF patronaged Salons, as per TFSF Rules. Results Notifications will be sent by s only. A member of TFSF (Photographic Arts Federation of Turkey) will be on charge during the whole period. The Exhibition Committee has the right to ask the participants to submit the originals of their photographs, if need be. ENTRY IMAGE FILES: The images must be sent filled properly and online together with the Entry Form. A maximum of 4 images may be submitted per section. The entrants must use English alphabet. The image names must include the first two letters of surname, last 4 digits of telephone number, section and image number. For Example: Semi Ayatar, AY-5050-B2.jpg ENTRY FILE DIMENSIONS AND SIZE: The images must be in Jpeg format. The required horizontal dimension is 1200 pixels. Resolution must be 300 dpi. The images sent for Section A- Water and Life (Color / Black and White), must be frameless. There must not be a signature name and / or a signal or date on the images at both sections. ENTRY FEE: From Turkey; 30 TL for all sections

Entries received without fees will not be judged. CD / PRINTED CATALOG: The CD-ROM Catalogue, showing acceptances and images, will be posted to all entrants. Printed Catalogues will only be sent to prize, mentions and exhibition winners. ACCEPTANCE RESULTS: A listing of acceptances and awards will be posted on web sites: and ENTRY FORM: The Entry Form must be submitted electronically online. Any other form of entries (e.g. e- mails, CD or prints) will not be accepted. A list of the entries received will be published on the Salon Web Site. This Status list will be updated at regular intervals. Please check the Status list for your entries on the Web Site within 1-2 days after electronically submitting your photographs.. PAYPAL: If payment by PayPal is for other photographers, please indicate the photographer s name, to make sure that they received proper credit. Images may not be judged unless proper credit is shown.
