JCM Circuit consists of three separate Exhibitions with separate judgings and reports at each Exhibition. We solicit your participation. th 5 May 0 The exhibition is open to every one. However, an entry may be rejected if the sponsoring organization or its agent, in its reasonable discretion, believes that the entry does not conform to exhibition rules and conditions. The original image must be made by the entrant on photographic emulsion or acquired with a digital camera. All images must be original and may not incorporate elements, produced by anyone else. All final work must be on photographic or electronic film material. If you are sending your entry by C / V, sometimes the C / V held up in customs for checking, it takes -5 weeks for release. Hence, all entrants residing outside India are required to post entries sufficiently in advance. CASH IN THE MAIL IS STRICTLY PROHIBITE IN INIA. PICTORIAL - A monochrome image is defined as having varying shades of no more than one color (various shades of that color from very light to very dark) but it may be any single color. Multi-toned images (various shades of two or more colors) and greyscale images with added an accent color are not acceptable in Monochrome Class sections and must be entered in Color Class sections.. WILLIFE - Authentic wildlife is defined as one or more organisms living free and unrestrained in a natural or adopted habitat. Therefore, landscapes, photographs of zoo or game farm animals or any living subject taken under controlled conditions are not eligible for Wildlife competitions. Authentic wildlife is not limited to uncontrolled zoological subjects. Land and marine botanical subjects in the wild (including fungi and algae) are also eligible subjects, as are animal carcasses.. NATURE - Nature Photography is restricted to the use of the photographic process to depict observations from all branches of natural history, except anthropology and archeology, in such a fashion that a well-informed person will be able to identify the subject material and to certify as to its honest presentation. The story telling value of a photograph must be weighed more than the pictorial quality while maintaining high technical quality. Human elements shall not be present, except where those human elements enhance the nature story. The presence of scientific bands, scientific tags or radio collars on wild animals is permissible. Photographs of artificially produced hybrid plants or animals, mounted specimens, or obviously set arrangements are ineligible, as is any form of manipulation that alters the truth of the photographic statement. No techniques that add to, relocate, replace, or remove pictorial elements except by cropping are permitted. Techniques that enhance the presentation of the photograph without changing the nature story or the pictorial content are permitted. All adjustments must appear natural. Color images can be converted to grayscale monochrome. Infrared images are not allowed.. PHOTOJOURNALISM - Photojournalism entries shall consist of sequences with informative content and emotional impact, including human interest, documentary and spot news. The journalistic value of the Prints shall be considered over pictorial quality. In the interest of credibility, PJ images which misrepresent the truth. No situations shall be set up for the purpose of photography and no alteration of the subject matter is allowed including any techniques that add combine, relocate, replace or remove any elements of the original image. 5. PHOTO TRAVEL - A Photo Travel image must express the feeling of a time and place, and portray a land, its distinctive features or culture in its natural state. There are no geographical limitations. Close up pictures of people or objects must include distinguishable environment. Techniques that add to, relocate, replace or remove any element of the original image, except by cropping, are not permitted. All adjustments must appear natural. Conversion to full monochrome is acceptable, derivations including infrared are unacceptable. NOTE: Entries must originate as Photographs (image-captures of objects via light sensitivity) made by the entrant on photographic emulsion or acquired digitally. By virtue of submitting an entry, the entrant certifies the work as his own (aliases are not permitted). The entrant permits the sponsors to reproduce all or part of the entered material free of charge for publication and/or display in media related to the exhibition. This may include low resolution posting on a website. "Images may be altered, either digitally or otherwise, by the maker and artwork or computer graphics created by the entrant may be incorporated if the photographic content predominates.". MONOCHROME- A black and white work fitting from the very dark grey (black) to the very clear grey (white) is a monochrome work with the various shades of grey. A black and white work toned entirely in a single color will remain a monochrome work able to stand in the black and white category; such a work can be reproduce in black and white in the catalogue of a salon under Patronage. On the other hand a black and white work modified by a partial toning or by the addition of one color becomes a color work (polychrome) to stand in a color category; such a work requires color reproduction in the catalogue of a salon under Patronage.. NATURE- Nature Photography depicts living, untamed animals and uncultivated plants in a natural habitat, geology and the wide diversity of natural phenomena, from insects to icebergs. Photographs of animals which are domesticated, caged or under any form of restraint, as well as photographs of cultivated plants are eligible. Minimal evidence of human acceptable for nature subject, such as barn owls or strokas,adapting to an environment modified by humans or natural forces, like hurricans or tidal waves, reclaiming it. The original image must have been taken by photographer, whatever photographic medium is used. A manipulation or modification to the original image is limited to minor retouching of blemishes and must not alter the containt of the original scene. After satisfying the above requirements every effort should be made to use the highest level of artistic skill in all nature photographs.

The circuit is open to everyone, everywhere on payment of entry fee and it will follow the recommended procedure of PSA, FIP and. The circuit will consist of 5 sections: (a) Monochrome (Pictorial), (b) Color (Pictorial), (c) Nature (including) wildlife: Monochrome and Color (Combined) (d) Photojournalism: Monochrome and Color (Combined) and (e) Photo Travel: Monochrome and Color (Combined).. Each entrant may submit a maximum of Images in one section. Monochrome (Pictorial), Color (Pictorial), Nature (including) wildlife, Photojournalism and Photo Travel. igital should not be mixed to make one entry.. igital Image must bear the title and section of the entrant and must be numbered to correspond with the entry form. The digital image files must be in JPEG format and file size maximum MB. Please submit images with 00 dpi resolutions and a maximum of 050 x 00. If the image is horizontal i.e. in landscape format, the width would be 00 pixels and the height would be less than this as per composition. Similarly, if the image is vertical or in portrait format, the height would be 050 pixels and the width would be less than this as per composition.. If the entries are sent by C / V, it must be sent by Registered Post / Courier and must be properly packed & sealed to avoid damage in transit. 6. Although utmost care will be taken, no responsibility for loss or damage during transit or exhibition will be assumed. 7. Unless otherwise at specified in the entry form, permission to copy selected igital in any way in the press or catalogue etc., in connection with the exhibition will be assumed. 8 Accepted and awarded images obtained in this exhibition will count towards PSA / FIP / "Star Ratings" and Who's Who. 9. No stickers will be issued for accepted igital Entry. 0. If entry fee is not received, the entry will be judged but will not be returned back till the dues are cleared.. Title of Entry / Image should not exceed 5 letters to facilitate computer listing for catalogue. Title must be written in ENGLISH in BLOCK LETTERS.. The submission of entries signifies the acceptance of the above conditions by the entrants.. Read carefully enclosed note sent with your entries and follow it. In Nature including wildlife, Photojournalism and Travel section modifications, adding or removing elements from images, combining separate images, re-arranging or cloning in images will not be accepted. 5. Members of the jury are not allowed to participate in any Section of the event, whether or not they are officiating in that section or not. 6. Entries will be judged by YES / NO System. 7 Images to be judged through OHP. The decision of the panel of judges will be final and binding with no appeal.
