1 Invite you to submit prints to their 104 rd Annual Exhibition 2015 The aim of the London Salon is to exhibit only that class of photographic work in which there is distinct evidence of artistic feeling and execution You can enter up to eight prints four in Colour and four Monochrome Up to ten London Salon medals will be awarded. All entrants will receive a free colour catalogue containing a selection of the accepted images. The accepted work will be framed and the 'Exhibition' will be displayed at several venues around the UK. At smaller venues it may not be possible to exhibit all acceptances and a selection will be made. In addition, all accepted work will be shown on our website. A CD will be available to purchase. This will include all accepted images with a commentary on a selection of them. Online entry using Paypal (our preferred method of entry) can be made on our website Entry to our 2015 Salon opens on Saturday February 21st 2015 Closing date for on-line entries Friday 10 th April 2015 Manual entries and all prints entered on-line must be received by Wednesday 15 th. April 2015 Selection Saturday 25 th April 2015 Results Notification from Sunday 1st May 2015 Total Rejects returned by 30 th June 2015 Return of all prints by 30 th November 2015 Details of the exhibition venues can be found on the Salon s website Any prints, regardless of entry method, manual or on-line, not received by the above date will not be entered into the Exhibition and any entry fees paid, less any return postage, will be refunded.

2 Rules of Entry for Manual Entries 1. We invite photographers Worldwide to enter up to eight PRINTS, in colour and/or monochrome and made by any photographic process. 2. This exhibition is PRINT ONLY. However in order to ensure accuracy of reproduction of any accepted images on our website, in the catalogue and in our CD slideshow, and to assist in speeding up the process of notification of results and publication of the Exhibition, we ask that a digital file accompanies your entry. If your images are film based, then please indicate on your entry form that no digital files are available. Manual entry may be accompanied by a CD containing your digital files. YOU CAN ENTER WITH OR WITHOUT DIGITAL FILES. However, if a digital file is not provided, and your print is selected, your image will not be included in the catalogue, on the website or on the CD. The digital file will not be used in the selection of the exhibition, only the print will be viewed by members. 3. DIGITAL FILES Your digital image files MUST be submitted as follows: Jpeg, Tiff or PNG file format (8-bit) and be sized to1400 x 1050 dpi. No fancy borders or added background whatsoever. A thin outline border around the image is acceptable. Named with the title of the printed image ALL IN CAPITALS. The title must be exactly the same as you enter on your entry form. e.g. 1.THE LEANING TOWER. The name of the digital file that you submit must be the same as the sequence number and title on the rear of the printed image. We will not edit your digital image file names and so whatever is the name of your file, this will be the published text in the catalogue and anywhere else. Please check the name of your saved file to make sure that it does not include any information other than the title. 4. ENTRY For those entrants who are unable to enter online, a Manual Form should be used and the entry should be accompanied by a CD containing your digital files. If digital files are not available then you should mark the entry form appropriately. Each entrant should complete an entry form A copy of the manual entry form MUST be included with the prints. 5. PRINTS Entries from the UK may be mounted or un-mounted Entries from Overseas should be un-mounted. Mounts must be exactly 40 x 50cm (NOT 20 x 16 inches) to fit our glazed frames. Mounted prints thicker than 3mm may not be exhibited or may be shown without glass. Un-mounted prints must be printed centrally on A3 (29.7 X 42 cm) paper or be attached centrally to a piece of A3 paper. Prints must carry on the back: The entrant s name and address The number and title of the print, as it appears on the entry form Additionally for group entries (i.e. more than one entry in a packet), the group organiser s name and address)

3 6. MANUAL ENTRY FEES Manual entry - these may be made by Cheque (drawn on UK bank only) payable to The London Salon of Photography or Cash, and should be sent with your entry form and prints. Overseas cheques or money-orders are not acceptable. Please send cash or enter on-line. Entry Fee Return Postage & Re-packing UK 12 (one class) up to a maximum weight of 2kg two classes Rest of World or US$ or US$25 up to a maximum weight 2kg one class 18 / 23/$30 two classes Entries without an entry fee will not be judged or returned and no catalogues will be sent. * Return postage & re-packing is not applicable if you opt to have your prints destroyed. You may also arrange to collect your prints from the postal address or from Smethwick Photographic Society. 7. PACKAGING & POSTING Prints should be packed flat (NOT in rolls) and will be returned in the original packing, Overseas packets must not exceed 2 kg and must carry the printed address label and be marked Photographs for Exhibition and Return to Sender - No Commercial Value. Packets from countries not in the EU must carry green customs forms CN22. All prints should be posted to the address below with your Manual Entry form and fee The London Salon of Photography, P.O. CLOSING DATE Any prints, not received by the date stated on the website will not be entered into the Exhibition and any entry fees paid, less any return postage, will be refunded. 9. CATALOGUE We will send one colour catalogue to each paid-up entrant. Further catalogues may be ordered and paid for using either the on-line or manual form. 10. RESULTS All entrants will receive results either by /post. Full results will be available on our website shortly after the selection. 11. COPYRIGHT Copyright of images remains with the author but we reserve the right to reproduce any accepted print without payment. 12. CARE & RESPONSIBILITY Every care will be taken of work submitted but we cannot accept responsibility for any damage or loss however caused. Entrants are deemed to accept all the conditions of entry. 13. MEMBERS OF THE LONDON SALON Members of the London Salon are not eligible for medals. 14. 4 FRIENDS of The London Salon of Photography In view of the considerable interest shown by supporters of our Annual Exhibition the Members of The London Salon of Photography invite you to become a Friend of The Salon. You can give valued support to this stronghold of independent Pictorial Photography for a Subscription of 10 or 16 or US$22, due by 1st November annually. Friends receive the following benefits: A personal invitation to the private viewing of the Exhibition. A free colour-illustrated catalogue of the Exhibition. Each year a framed print by a Member of the Salon is presented to a registered Friend, chosen by ballot. The names of the Friends of The London Salon of Photography are published in the Exhibition Catalogue and on our website as public acknowledgement of their genuine interest in the furtherance of Pictorial Photography. Please include your remittance with your entry. Alternatively you can post your remittance to the Registrar of Friends together with a letter stating your wish to become a Friend of The London Salon of Photography.
