2 The Fitness Suite We believe our fitness suite to be one of the best equipped in the area, fitted out with Technogym equipment that is exceptionally user-friendly. There are over 40 work stations meaning that you will nearly always be able to access the equipment you want, when you want. Our induction process is thorough; providing an initial fitness assessment, a machinery induction and optional programme writing service. All of which means that whether you re an old-hand or a gym newcomer you will be confident of yourself in the gym environment and be able to get the most out of your time here. Racquet Sports If you wish to use any of our racquet court spaces we operate a 24 hour advance booking period. Don t worry if you don t own the right racquet for the right sport - we have racquets for each sport available for you to borrow at no charge. For racquet sports enthusiasts or those who fancy trying their hand at something new the Leisure Club offers: Squash Racketball Short tennis Table tennis Badminton Tennis (hard-court) The Pool Our 25 metre, 4 lane pool is long kept at a comfortable temperature catering for adult, public and class sessions. Alongside the pool, and included in any pool use, is our sauna cabin which provides an excellent means to unwind and relieve the stress of day-to-day life. Team Sports Our multi-purpose hall can be booked by members for team sports, such as basketball or 5 a-side football. Not everyone you bring along needs to be a member but guest fees will apply to any nonmembers who are playing. Equipment such as balls and team bibs are available to borrow. The pool is open over a variety of times during the week, these times can be found on page 7. In addition to general swimming sessions we also offer, children s swimming lessons catering for abilities from the non-swimmer through to brushing up strokes ready for entry into a swim club environment. The popular lifesaving club is run weekly and teaches children the importance of being safe in water and valuable life skills. If you are looking to become a qualified lifeguard we also run the National Pool Lifeguarding Qualification (NPLQ) course throughout the year. Our 5 a-side kickabout area or Rounders pitch are ideal for spring and summer evenings when it s just too nice to be stuck indoors - invite the guys and girls from the office and get stuck in! 2 11

4 All Inclusive Memberships Pay monthly options are offered in two ways. One is to sign a 12 month initial agreement and the other is a more flexible month-to-month option that allows you to opt out at any time should your circumstances change.* In all cases are classed as individuals over the age of 16, a Couple is defined as two people living at the same address and Concessions are classed as individuals over the age of 60 or 16 years+ and in full-time education. We do not charge a joining or administration fee but in the case of direct debit memberships a part-month payment will be taken to cover use of the Club until the first direct debit payment is drawn. Inferno membership Our Inferno package gives you access to pretty much everything we have for one fixed up-front or monthly fee. 5 Swimming Lessons Swimming lessons provide a safe and fun environment to allow children to develop the basic skills that will allow them to enjoy the water safely and enjoyably. All our lessons are conducted by qualified ASA teachers. Lessons are taught in our pool which has a full range of water depths from 1m to 3m. The extensive programme we offer aims to improve and develop strokes, skills and confidence through a number of different levels catering for children of all ages and abilities. Lessons are taught in small groups (maximum 12 children) based on ability. Non Members: 6.36 per child per lesson Pay-as-you-Play Members: 5.16 per child per lesson Package Members: 3.60 per child per lesson Badge Testing- If you wish to try for an ASA distance award that is not covered in lessons, due to possible time constraints, you can ask the lifeguarding staff to test you. Birthday Parties Organising a children's party can often be a messy and costly experience. At the Fire Service Leisure Centre we have the perfect answer - we'll organise it for you! If you require an area for food after your party we can supply this. Bring your own food or try our great meal options. Please contact the Leisure Club for more details and food options: Sports Parties Sports parties are ideal for children from 5-12yrs. The parties offer one hour of sports fun in our sports hall supervised by a leisure assistant. Maximum number of young people is 20. Choose from football, uni hocky, rounders, quick cricket, dodge ball, bench ball or a combination of these with our bouncy castle. All equipment provided. Sports parties are available on: Saturdays 11am-3pm and Sundays 11am 2pm Various party packages available. 1.
