It s a time where your will, wit, organizational skills, and humor will be put to the test. Weddings take a lot of planning and you will likely spend over 100 hours on the phone, visiting with vendors, planning, and chasing after details. There will be lots of fun, too. 6 Wedding Pampering Countdown the Pre-Wedding This countdown may vary with each bride. Remember to stay physically active for your mind and body s health. Plan out your own schedule based on your body and skin needs - visualize your big day! Establish Your Goals With proper diet and exercise, losing one to two pounds per week is healthy. These key ingredients will help ease the stress and will make you look and feel fabulous. Plan ahead Start a fitness and nutritional program at least six months in advance. Set reasonable and achievable goals. Try to be realistic with both the time you have and what your body can handle. For cardio, start a walking program with a friend, hire a personal trainer, join a gym or try using fitness tapes at home. Flexibility and stretches are a must. Minimum requirement If you have ambitious goals, a minimum of three to four thirty-minute cardio and strength-training sessions per week are recommended. If you have more than 15 pounds to lose, increase your cardio to five or six times per week. It is important to stay active and cut down on high-calorie foods. Increase the intensity To maximize the effectiveness of your program, increase the intensity for cardio and strength-training every week. This will challenge your body and get you past the plateau. Increased strength-training will tone and define, not make your muscles big and bulky.
