Trend-setting restaurants and vibrant nightclubs next to idyllic archipelago. Welcome to a city where it is easy to breathe and to feel your pulse. Just a few minutes away from the city of Stockholm, the archipelago begins. With nearly 30,000 islands, islets and rocks - from Arholma in the north to Landsort in the south - each with its own character. Rugged nature blends with wooded islands, rocky cliffs and sandy beaches. Enjoy tranquil coves or the open sea where waves can go high. Explore uninhabited islets as well as islands with new communities and ancient villages, where large houses and small cottages stand side by side. Visit a cultural district with a long history, or take advantage of some of the many activities on offer. Enjoy the archipelago's culinary specialties at the inns and restaurants, or prepare your own meals over an open fire. Go for the day, stay at one of the archipelago's hostels, hotels or cottages, or bring your own tent if you prefer to camp. Welcome to our unique archipelago. So close to the city, yet a world away. We do not recommend that participants with back / neck problems arising in this tour as we will travel by RIB boats. Please note all transportation will be by RIB boats. 6 Breakfast at hotel Check out Departure from Stockholm city by RIB boat to Utö. On a R.I.B tour you get to take part in one of archipelago's most extreme boat experiences. R.I.B boats master all types of water, with manoeuvring capabilities and powerful motors inviting a euphoric feeling "as if you were flying directly over the water's surface". You are unable to get away from the adventurous, tingling feeling that grabs you when you ride in a boat - regardless if you choose speed through the outer archipelago or a more relaxing guided tour. Enjoy an amazing 2 hours boat trip in the southern archipelago. A fast-paced tour with the chance to see a lot and get an idea of what the islands have to offer Discover the island of Utö on a guided tour. Utö has it all, an exciting history, picturesque red cottages, unique archipelago and nature reserve Enjoy lunch at the historic Utö inn overlooking the harbor entrance. 7 15:00 Time to leave Utö and continue towards the island of Sandhamn. Get ready for another 2 hours tour through fantastic landscape by RIB. 17:00 Arrival in Sandhamn. Sandhamn is a historical place situated in the outer archipelago with barren rocks and white sandy beaches. Open all year round. There are restaurants, bars, hotels and shops. Leaving the harbor area behind, you find extensive walking paths along the beaches and windswept pines. Sandhamn is also the setting for the crime novels by the Swedish author Viveca Sten. Check-in at the Sandhamn yacht hotel. A nice dinner is served in the large dining room. For those who wish there is the opportunity for a relaxing pampering spa before a good night's sleep begins.
