Jackson Jr. International Terminal with its sweeping roof line, gentle metallic curves and glass façade will welcome millions of world travelers for decades to come when it opens in spring Perfectly timed for an expected surge in international travel over the next decade, the international terminal and its new concourse will connect with Concourse E to create a 40-gate international air travel complex. This cutting-edge, LEED-certified (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) facility will be the new global gateway through which travelers from throughout the world will connect with more than 150 U.S. cities. 3 What you need to know The international terminal is accessible from Interstate 75, Exit 239. Passengers traveling on nonstop international flights from Atlanta will check in at the international terminal. Passengers traveling abroad via another U.S. city will check in at the domestic terminal. Atlanta-bound international passengers who arrive on Concourse E or the new Concourse F will pick up luggage at the international terminal s baggage claim area. A shuttle service will connect the international terminal with the domestic terminal, domestic parking facilities and MARTA train service to downtown. Another shuttle will provide direct service between the international terminal and the rental car center. 2

A: The international terminal will open in spring A date for the opening will be set and announced in early Q: Will I still have to recheck my baggage after an international flight if I m an Atlanta-bound passenger? A: No! The international terminal eliminates the baggage recheck. Atlantabound passengers will go through customs inspection, collect checked baggage and leave the international terminal. Q: How do I get to the international terminal? A: The international terminal has an entrance separate from the domestic terminal. The international terminal entrance is accessible from Interstate 75 at Exit 239. Q: If I accidentally go to the domestic terminal to check in for my international flight, what should I do? A: If your airline cannot check you in at the domestic terminal, you can take a complimentary shuttle service to the international terminal. Shuttles are available at the ground transportation center at the west end of the domestic terminal. Q: What airlines will operate from the international terminal? A: All carriers operating international routes at Hartsfield-Jackson will use the new facility. Q: Where should I pick up an arriving international passenger? A: Arriving international passengers will exit to the lower-level roadway at the international terminal. Roadway signs will direct motorists to the arrivals level. Q: Where do I drop off departing international passengers? A: Passengers traveling outside the United States should check in at the international terminal. 7 Rendering of Concourse F Q: Will there be places to eat and shop at the international terminal? A: Yes. Many retail, food and beverage, and business services concessions will be available before and after the security checkpoint. Store details and locations will be posted on the international terminal s website as they become available. Q: Can I ride The Plane Train from Concourse F to Concourse T? A: Yes The Plane Train, the Airport s people mover, has been extended to Concourse F. Passengers who arrive at Concourse F can ride The Plane Train from Concourse F to all concourses, including T and the domestic terminal. The pedestrian walkway also has been extended to Concourse F. Q: What parking options will the international terminal have? A: The international terminal will have hourly, Gold Reserve and Park-Ride options as well as designated spaces for alternative fuel vehicles, carpools and vanpools. Q: Will there be ground transportation at the international terminal? A: Ground transportation options including hotel and regional shuttles, taxis and limousines will be available at the curb outside the main greeting area on the arrivals level. Q: How do I get to the rental car center? A: A designated, free shuttle will transport passengers between the arrivals level of the international terminal and the rental car center. Q: If I ride MARTA, how do I get to my departure flight on Concourse F? A: A designated, free shuttle will transport passengers between the domestic terminal ground transportation center, which includes the Airport MARTA station, and the international terminal. 6

8 New interstate signs will direct passengers to the international terminal Getting to the international terminal The Maynard H. Jackson Jr. International Terminal has its own entrance separate from the domestic terminal. The international terminal entrance is accessible from Interstate 75 at Exit 239. New and existing signs will direct motorists to the international terminal via interstates 75, 85 and 285. Surface street signs also will be updated to direct motorists to the new facility. Connecting with existing facilities Because of security restrictions, Atlanta-bound passengers cannot access secured areas of the Airport after they pick up their luggage at the international terminal baggage claim. To connect these passengers with existing Airport facilities outside of secured areas, Hartsfield-Jackson has established a shuttle service between the international terminal and the domestic terminal and parking, MARTA and the rental car center. 7

9 The International Shuttle Connector, which is free and operates 24 hours a day, offers direct service between the international terminal and two locations: MARTA: A 12-minute ride connects the international terminal with the domestic terminal s ground transportation center, which provides easy access to the domestic terminal, parking areas and MARTA train service to downtown. Rental car center: A 15-minute shuttle ride links the international terminal to the rental car center, which houses all rental car transaction counters and vehicles. Maynard H.
