With the newest airborne remote sensing techniques we create high resolution elevation models and true ortho photos in an unmatched quality with up to 400 elevation measurements per square meter. Through the high level of automation in the reconstruction of building geometries and facade texturing we have short production times and a very high level of data quality combined with a considerable reduction of costs. CAD modelling Our specialists create detailed CAD models of complex buildings and sights (LOD-3). Historical buildings or modern skyscrapers we build every object in 3D.

3 Building reconstruction In another automatic process building geometries are retrieved from high resolution digital surface models (LOD-2). The resulting vector format is necessary for the export and data management in citygml and is best suited for the 3D visualisation. Solar energy potential Based on the high resolution digital surface models, 3D RealityMaps has developed a procedure which enables a considerably more precise and faster calculation of the solar energy potential of rooftop areas. Thereby, for the first time, the daily position of the sun as well as the shadowing through adjacent buildings, vegetation and roof structures can be accounted for. 3D visualisation on Intra- or Internet 3D RealityMaps has developed a special high performance software that allows to interactively present very large 3D city models on the Intra- or Internet. Photorealistic 3D city and landscape models are innovative products to visualize municipal construction plans, production facilities or real estate objects within a realistic environment.

5 Photorealistic city models The 3D RealityMaps technology enables the production of true-to-detail 3D city models based on cadastral data, high resolution elevation models and oblique view aerial images. Photorealistic and interactive 3D city models are optimal solutions for a whole variety of applications like urban planning, location marketing, facility management, real-estate sales, navigation and tourism. Facade texturing 3D RealityMaps has developed a procedure for the automatic texturing of buildings based on oblique view aerial images. The facade views are thereby cut out of the accurately geo referenced original aerial images and assigned to the respective building surfaces. 3D city models are no longer accumulations of grey building blocks but a highly detailed and realistic representation of a city.
