3 The Bank of England Sports Centre Nestling in 32 acres of award-winning grounds, the Bank of England Sports Centre is an outstanding example of a great English tradition; the English Sports Club. Founded in 1908, the land formed part of the Clarence House Estate which was once home to the Duke of Clarence. Enjoy your wedding reception and breakfast surrounded by green space, breathtaking views and a beautiful venue. The sprawling grounds provide a stunning setting for your wedding ceremony and reception, a taste of the country close to the City and just next door to Richmond Park. Your guests may have the opportunity to watch a spot of cricket or tennis throughout your special day or perhaps take a stroll around the grounds before the festivities begin. The spacious terraces and lawns provide a fabulous backdrop for photos. You are assured of an exclusive area with a private bar, function room and picket fenced garden area. The Club is just 25 minutes from the M25 and the centre of London. It is situated between the A3 and A4, just 10 minutes from both and with easy access from the M3.

5 The Venue The Terrace Room This beautifully presented room features panoramic windows overlooking our fabulous grounds. Enjoy your drinks reception on your private picket fenced lawn before moving into our spacious, purpose built Terrace Room, which can comfortably accommodate up to 250 guests. The professional PA system, chequered dancefloor and fully integrated bar are all available for your exclusive use. Whether you are planning a sumptuous banquet or a hog roast for your guests, the Terrace Room will provide the perfect setting for your wedding reception. The tranquil landscape and superb facility makes the Bank of England Sports Centre the ultimate venue for your wedding! Civil Ceremonies Getting Married at the Bank of England Sports Centre Green Room Available year round. A smaller, quiet and intimate space on the first floor of the Pavilion, the Green Room has a private balcony looking out over our grounds. We are able to accommodate 85 guests for a civil ceremony in this room. The Pavilion Room Available Monday-Friday please ask about availability. Licensed for civil ceremonies, the Pavilion Room has an arched ceiling with windows down its length overlooking the patio and grounds. The light and airy room offers a fantastic space for larger wedding ceremonies with a capacity for up to 190 guests. Karen Fantastic venue! We got married in a local church and then held our reception at the Bank of England Sports Centre. The staff were all extremely helpful from the moment of our visit until our big day. Lots of our family and friends commented on how nice and helpful they were which made for a lovely atmosphere. We looked at many venues in the south London/Surrey area but we choose this one mainly because of the large reception room. We wanted to keep all of our guests in one room, rather than have a separate bar etc where you can often get segregated groups. The bar and dance floor can be moved if you want a different layout and the room can be made smaller if you feel it is too big. We had 130 guests and it was just right for us. They also have a separate area with lots of games such as giant jenga for the kids which came in very handy. The food was delicious, and again lots of our friends and family commented on how it was the best wedding dinner they had tasted. We had a winter wedding here, but the grounds are lovely so I think a summer one would be fantastic too for photos. The staff plan most things for you so you don t need to worry about remembering everything because they prompt you. There were no hidden charges and we all thought it was very good value for money. So if you want a lovely venue and fantastic staff then hold your reception at the Bank of England Sports Centre.

We got married in February at the Bank of England and it was perfect! We wanted a cosy magical winter wedding and that s what we had. The staff were so helpful and really went out of their way to make it perfect for us. Jo and her team really made us feel that they wanted to make it perfect for us. We had the ceremony in the Green Room which looked lovely, drinks reception in the Balcony Bar which was decorated with candles then the reception was in the marquee which was amazing. We had the chequered dance floor which was great and looked it too. We had a big bar with a DJ and although we only had 70 guests the way it was set up made it feel cosy. The food was divine and the day went well with the help of their toastmaster. I cannot praise the Bank of England enough as it was truly perfect!!

9 Planning Your Day One of our experienced wedding professionals will assist with every aspect of your wedding planning as well as guide you through every step of your special day. We offer a dedicated, personal and bespoke service in order to make sure you get everything out of your day. Our Team The Events team at the Bank of England Sports Centre have between them a wealth of experience in planning and running weddings. They will happily guide you through costings, menus, decoration ideas, timings of the day and much much more! No question is too small and they are happy to share their experience of many weddings at the venue. We are contactable seven days a week via and telephone. Your Menu Section There are tailor made and seasonal menus designed specifically for weddings by our Head Chef. The menu selections include a three course sit down meal, fork buffet options, a barbecue or even a hog roast. We offer a complimentary tasting for two in the lead up to your day, a great way to try the food along with the wine and make those all important food choices. Accommodation We have two beautiful self catering cottages that may be rented as part of your wedding with us. Bank Lane 1 has four bedrooms, Bank Lane 2 has three bedrooms and they may be rented for more than one night. The cottages are on site and included in the price are towels and linen, and the use of the Sports Centre facilities. Both cottages have a garden and are fully self catering. This is a cost effective option for your accommodation needs; can be used by groups of friends, family members, or as a place for the bride-to-be to prepare for her special day. Itineraries Our Events team will work through every stage of planning with you, from the creation of a detailed function planner to meeting your Operational Manager for the day. Every detail of your day will be focused upon, from agreeing table designs to choosing lighting and music, from your drinks reception to the timing of the first dance. No stone is left unturned! Suppliers You may only use our onsite caterers but we are happy for you to choose other wedding suppliers for your special day. We are pleased to suggest excellent suppliers with whom we have excellent long standing relationships. Once your booking is confirmed we will send you a copy of our Bride s Guide to help you plan your day. Carl and Suzy The best of everything From start to finish everything was perfect- a wedding reception tailored to our budget, the worlds best wedding venue planner in Cathy and a wonderful beautiful venue- The cricket game on the green made it picture perfect. And wonderful food, and great service on the day from Jo and the team. Our day was planned with a really personal touch and Bank of England is definitely to be recommended!
