2 WELCOME Manchester Arena is committed to disability awareness and takes an inclusive approach when providing a service to our customers. Through our dedicated Accessibility support service we aim to provide a fair and equal service throughout your experience at our venue. We have flexible policies to assist our disabled customers to access the majority of areas in the venue independently. 3 BOOKING YOUR TICKETS Manchester Arena prides itself on being accessible to everyone. For further information please contact our Accessibility Team by telephone on , by fax or 3 The Accessibility Team can also check the general arena for seats to suit individual needs, for example ticket availability for seats close to the stage for those with visual impairments. The second raised tier of seating (BLK 201 and above) requires the negotiation of steep steps and so may not be suitable for customers with vertigo or those with mobility problems. Seating at the front of the upper tier is 35ft (10m) from ground, rising to 70ft (20m) at the rear. Customers using the Accessibility booking line can expect a friendly, professionally run service and an operator who is dedicated to finding the best possible viewing seats suitable for particular needs. It is advised that disabled customers share any information that may restrict them from accessing seating within the auditorium with our operators. Please note that our staff are familiar with using the Typetalk facility for customers with hearing impairments.

4 TRAVELLING TO MANCHESTER ARENA Please note, the Victoria Station approach (running from Corporation Street down Hunts Bank) is a bus lane only. This new route is enforced by cameras and subsequent fines. The road in the opposite direction (from Great Ducie Street up Hunts Bank) will remain open for car access. 5 By Car If travelling by car, Manchester Arena is situated on the A56, 3 miles from Junction 17 of the M62. Please note, the Victoria Station approach (running from Corporation Street down Hunts Bank) is a bus lane only. This route is enforced by cameras and subsequent fines. For the latest news and information regarding planned roadworks in the North West, please go to the Highways Agency website or call Parking The on-site multi-storey car park is operated and managed by NCP Manchester and has a capacity of 900. In addition, approximately 3,500 spaces within 10 minutes walk serve Manchester Arena. Please be aware of unauthorised car parks and street parking. We advise anyone with walking difficulties to arrive as early as possible and use the NCP car parks at the Arena, Shudehill or the Printworks. Please also note that the car park adjacent to the venue does not fall under the jurisdiction of Manchester Arena. There is a taxi rank outside Victoria Station and one outside The Printworks which is a short walk from the venue. Drop Off / Pick Up The drop off point is situated at the bottom of Hunts Bank. Please note this area gets very busy and it is advisable to have some form of contact with the person picking you up in case you need to arrange a different pick up point. PUBLIC TRANSPORT If you re planning a trip to Manchester Arena - day or night - then you ll find public transport is the best way to travel from all over Greater Manchester, and beyond. Manchester Arena is one of the easiest places to get to by public transport; buses, trains and trams drop you only minutes away from the entrance. Trains Manchester Arena is only a short Metrolink or free Metroshuttle ride from Piccadilly Train Station which serves trains travelling from the southern side of Manchester. Victoria Station serves the northern side of the city and cities beyond. 5 Buses Manchester Arena is situated within Victoria Station which is served by many buses and many more stop within easy walking distance in the city centre. For more information on bus routes, stops and timetables please visit the GMPTE website at alternatively you can ring (8am to 8pm, seven days a week). If you re staying out late then Nightbus services on Friday and Saturday nights run directly past Manchester Arena. Manchester s free city centre Metroshuttle service also links Victoria station with other areas of the centre. Trams Manchester s excellent Metrolink systems pass right by Manchester Arena, stopping at Victoria. Services run from Bury, Altrincham and Manchester Piccadilly rail station, with connections to Eccles, Media City, Oldham and Chorlton. For Metrolink service updates please visit Air Manchester has a large international airport which provides easy access to the Arena. The airport is approximately ten miles from the venue and can be reached by train or bus as detailed above.

6 ACCESS INFORMATION There is an on site multi-storey car park with a capacity to hold 900 vehicles. This car park belongs to NCP and although there is a fee, there is an area on the ground floor - approximately 58 spaces - which is reserved for disabled customers; this is allocated on a first come first served basis. If you are unable to secure a place on the ground floor, there is a lift inside the car park that stops on levels 3, 5, 7 and 9. Follow directions from the car park to the Box Office entrance and you will reach a set of green doors with a small flight of stairs on the other side, leading to the Arena entrance. There is also a lift to the right hand side of the doors that takes you up one level. Maximum distance from the car park to the arena entrance is 68 meters. Adjacent to the car park entrance is a pedestrian corridor. This offers easy access for customers using the overspill car park opposite the venue, alighting close to the venue or arriving on foot. Maximum distance to entrance is 100 meters. Our Hunts Bank entrance is a convenient drop off point with access to the Manchester Arena via the stairs or a lift to the right hand side of the stairs. Maximum distance to the lift from the drop off point is 50 meters. Manchester Victoria Station is the most convenient access point when travelling to the Manchester Arena by train, Metrolink, taxi or on foot. Access from Victoria Station is possible by taking the lift located at platform 3 up to level one passing through the red doors, then following the signs to the Box Office. There are also stairs leading from the station to the Arena entrance. Maximum distance from Victoria to entrance is 180 meters. 6

8 FACILITIES FOR DISABLED CUSTOMERS Manchester Arena provides the following facilities to assist customers with access requirements: 8 Concession stands with lowered counters A box office window with a lowered counter and loop system At least one wheelchair accessible toilet in each set of facilities (three female sets, three male) Three unisex accessible toilets Loop system fitted (please speak to the Accessibility Team for more details) Additional services such as the use of house wheelchairs for easy access purposes and assistance from our Stewards to help customers reach their seats. Guide dog and hearing dogs are welcome to the Manchester Arena Professional medical assistance is available at the venue for every event. Please contact any member of the stewarding staff who will seek assistance immediately the First Aid room is located on the ground floor.
