1 Civic Space The proposed Civic Square provides an essential link between the City and the Landscape. It will complete the connection to the City from the significant amount of investment already made in Forthside and to the River which in turn provides access to many historic landmarks including Cambuskenneth Abbey, the Wallace Monument and Bridge, as well as the countryside cycle routes. This also links to the wider network of existing residential communities and facilities including University, The Peak, and The Springkerse Industrial Estate. 2 Grow On Space Civic Square The proposed location for the Grow on Space is on the riverside just north of STEP. There is also potential to use space in Teith House, the Wolfcraig Building and the Barracks. Key considerations are the walking distance from the City Centre and the desire for a relationship with University. 3 Masterplan Zones City Park Mercat Cross Regeneration Digital District / Hub Civic Space Grow on Space River Stunning natural parkland environment in the dramatic setting of the Castle including visitor facilities and linking Kings Park, Kings Knot, Back Walk, Gowanhill and Bridge. Integrated approach to Retail, Infrastructure, Residential, Education and Arts and Culture including the City Market. Digital Hub to allow local businesses and organisations to access high quality digital infrastructure and encourage collaboration in the heart of at the gateway to the Top of the Town and City Park. Civic square and Office Space The building will mark a key gateway into the Forthside area on the riverside adjacent to STEP, providing office space to support development of small and medium sized businesses collaborating with other key partners in. The masterplan explores the potential for river access. This may include boat trips, a river taxi linking to Bridge and the Wallace Monument and a riverboat restaurant.

6 Mercat Cross Regeneration Castle Proposed City Park Recreational Grounds (Former Castle Hunting Grounds and Garden) The masterplan considers the existing venues and event spaces and seeks to complement these. The Tolbooth is an arts and music venue which spills out onto Broad Street. The Albert Halls provides a venue for performances and events. Albert Halls provides a performance and meeting space often used by acts such as comedians and is at the gateway to the castle and parkland walks. 7 Digital District / Hub Prominent Clock Tower provides landmark Surrounded by the history and culture of including statues The Municipal Buildings sit in a prominent location in the city between the retail centre, the old town and the route through to the proposed City Park. The masterplan considers conversion to a Digital Hub along with potential for a cultural building to mark this key node with a use which is attractive to visitors and encourages innovation in business in a way which is unique to. This would be combined with street and building way-finding and signage showing routes to other cultural and historic buildings and spaces.
