There is a family-based philosophy that is at the core of the club's foundation. - Micheal Rivera- Carmel Our Mission: To develop the strengths needed to compete at the highest level in the sport of volleyball, and to build on those strengths to help prepare our players for the game of life. Indy Juniors Volleyball, Inc. is celebrating its 19 th season. We were founded in 1998 by a group of coaches, parents and advisors who wanted to develop a different kind of volleyball club. Indy Juniors will furnish the tools and the opportunities for its members to develop in all areas necessary for their growth as successful MULTI-SPORT student-athletes whether they are an athlete who desires to compete at the intercollegiate level or at the middle and high-school level. Over the last 18 years, thousands of student athletes have realized their dream of playing for their middle school, high school and college. Since 2008, 95% of our players have made either their middle or high school team. In the last 10 years EVERY senior has had the opportunity to play in college at a school of their choice, resulting in 105 collegiate athletes. Indy Juniors has produced 17 college coaches from its coaching ranks. We have created an environment that provides players the opportunity to compete at a high level, while maintaining a balance between athletics, academics and extracurricular activities. We stress player accountability, in a positive atmosphere, where players, parents and coaches are expected to conduct themselves in a supportive team oriented manner. Indy Juniors Volleyball Club is a proud member of the Junior Volleyball Association (JVA) and AAU. The JVA has been critical in creating more opportunities for clubs to play in quality events, shortening the season, and driving down club costs. Indy Juniors National teams will participate in the AAU National Championships, which takes place in Orlando, Florida in June. This is the largest, most competitive volleyball tournament in the world, with over 2,300 teams participating! Being a member of Indy Juniors provides you with tournament competitions and volleyball specific skill training. Indy Juniors will provide the following programs at no additional cost to National team members: Strength, Quickness and Agility (SQA) training that is volleyball specific, college recruiting assistance, and to Regional team members small group skill clinics, and other topics relevant to middle school, high school and college bound student-athletes. Each team will be given a fixed practice schedule, and tournament schedules will be set at the beginning of the season in December. This will allow you as a family to plan the rest of your calendars, without the constant changes that happen with some club sports organizations. We will participate in popular competitive tournaments in addition to paying in the Hoosier Challenge Series and Smack Power Series, which feature 2 days of play but only require a Saturday night hotel stay. This saves everyone money and allows families to have some of their Friday nights back!

They will be played in either Indianapolis or Muncie and there will be a lower entry fee for these tournaments. Tournaments for this age group will not always follow the standard format that the older kids follow. Typically, they will play 2-4 games, some of which may be initiated/controlled. They are to be fun, positive events that allows all the girls to play and learn the game.

6 Indy Juniors Programs Master Coach Training Methodology: Master Coach training focuses on raising the level of practice planning and execution regardless of the experience level of the coach. The Master Coach-Ann Huse, will develop and help implement the practice plan for each team. Drills will be demonstrated on court, expectations outlined, and the execution of the drills will be supervised by the Master Coach. SQA: What is it? A strength and conditioning program designed specifically for club volleyball athletes. Strength, Quickness, Agility WHO IS SQA FOR? All Indy Juniors Volleyball Club members. SQA training is mandatory for National Team players; however, it is available and highly recommended for all Regional Team players as well. WHAT WILL MY VOLLEYBALL ATHLETE GET OUT OF ATTENDING SQA? Exercises that focus on volleyball shoulder strength preventing injuries and increasing hitting power. Cutting-edge techniques that work the scapula stabilizers, the key muscles to developing healthy shoulders. Ankle, knee, and hip triple extension movements developing the right kind of leg strength and explosive power to fly high. Improve first step quickness and stability that is so important for getting in position to make plays in volleyball. Develop hamstring and deceleration strength so many volleyball players LACK and is ABSOLUTELY CRUCIAL to help prevent ACL and other volleyball related knee injuries. Perform powerful plyo-metric techniques and imperative fast feet movements that all volleyball players must learn. We will develop the core's powerhouse, the core center for explosive strength and power. We will use the correct program structure for ENHANCING volleyball energy, strength and conditioning for volleyball the RIGHT WAY making gains in strength and explosive power.

7 Program Description: Skills Clinics Indy Juniors believes that all members of our program should have the opportunity to be coached by the some of the most experienced coaches in our club. As a result we created our Skills Clinic program where Regional team members can sign up for FREE small group lessons to work on specific skills. The skill clinics are lead by our National team coaches and run all season long. Players sign up to work on skills of their choice. They can attend multiple sessions over the course of the entire season. Kong Ma, leads our skill clinic coaching staff. He has been a National team coach for Indy Juniors for 17 years, read his bio here! Dates: Tuesday and/or Thursday evenings from 6-6:45pm beginning in January College Recruiting Indy Juniors provides a complete and FREE college-recruiting program for all of our members. This includes the following: *General informational meetings open to all members describing the recruiting process *Individual meetings to create your college recruiting action plan *Assistance with creating your introduction letter and player bio *Skill video *A line of communication between the athlete, the parents, Indy Juniors and prospective colleges. This proven process has enabled 105 Indy Juniors members to play volleyball in college at a school of THEIR choice. In the last 10 years, EVERY senior has had the opportunity to play at the collegiate level. Travel expenses include coach hotel room, transportation, perdiem and player hotel room (Select tournaments only-see Travel Policy for more information). These expenses are divided equally amongst the team members. This does not include player money for food or souvenirs, etc *Entry Fees- National Teams: ages ($300-$400) This includes entry fee to AAU National Championships. Regional Teams: ages ($200-$300) *There are no entry fees for Grades 3/4 *These are estimates based upon a typical travel schedule, but may vary based upon an individual team tournament schedule. Each team is required to have at least one female chaperone (not a coach) when traveling. This budget does not include any expenses for family members that travel with the team. Payments received 10 days after the due date will be assessed a late fee and your daughter will not be able to participate in practice or tournaments until payment is received.
